i have an old thrustmaster joystick+mark2 wpn controller and rudder pedals back from my MW2 days, does anyone use a gameport adapter or soundcard with gameport in win7?i read they might work but throttle might not.id rather pay 10 bucks and use my old gear than pay 50 for new gear. thanks

I used an old soundblaster card that I had lying around in my attic, installed it onto my 32-bit Win7 gaming desktop, and it worked perfectly with the old Thrustmaster Pro that came with my copy of MW2 when I bought it back in the day.

HOWEVER, I took it out again, as I found that I had much better control with mouse + keyboard, than an analog stick... I think I've gotten out of the habit of using a joystick after years of playing FPS and RPG games. And MWO feels more like an FPS than a simulation game, to me.

Joysticks do not work very well with this game's control scheme.
