I really want mechs that would look similar to a Gundam or at least some kind of Japanese anime style humanoid robot or the concepts like exsteel where they all got in common is slim and fast looking body with aggressive eyes.
As for weapons melee could be a beam dagger or a regular dagger and can include rifles and beam swords.
Additionally, can there also be paint customization on parts and overall paints?

I really want this to come true.

Sorry man, I'm a huge Gundam fan but stuff like that belongs in the realm of anime. And some 'Mechs do look humanoid anyway and carry their weapons in a hand mount (see Griffin, ie). But beam daggers and sleek "mobile suit" designs aren't the BattleTech style. 'Mechs are walking tanks with the rugged bodies and raw firepower to back up the notion.

The day I lose interest in Battletech is the day they make a mech that sprints around on heels, flying around in space with a giant sword. Having fists and axes is bad enough. Still to practical and realistic designs, like the MW4 Vulture/Mad Dog.

What are you talking about, they all look like Gundams. The only Tech Readout in which the 'Mechs actually looked like walking tanks/war machines, and not anime battlebots, was the original 3025 Tech Readout.

There ARE rules for handheld weapons, and some mechs cosmetically have them, even newer ones like the Parash in this age of "free hands" designs. Or at least I THINK it carries it in the lineart. Someone forgot to draw those fingers properly.

You know, you might end up with MS-style evasion-centric battlemechs if someone ever invented a PPC that had the power of a beam rifle. Gotta dodge those instakill 15/30/45 beams, yo.

What are you smoking op,keep that **** away from MechWarrior. And i'll admit i watched Gundam 8tm Team and War in The Pocket,nice anime cartoons buuut lets keep it that way,just anime cartoon.. It don't belong in BattleTech and i wouldbn't se any logical reason why would we include that in upcoming MWO game.
