How to quote posts from topics that have already been closed?

Highlight the text with your mouse, copy it (Ctrl-C), paste it in your post in a new tab (Ctrl-V), and put it in quote brackets?

Copy/paste. Then use [ quote ] and [ /quote ] without the spaces. One at the beginning and one at the end.
Example:

To take it a bit farther you can try this. When you write [ quote ] write it this way [ quote name='NameGoesHere''] and remove the spaces.

The alternative is to right click the number such as #1 to the right of your post, and use that link. For example #94 of the Ask The Devs 41 thread found here starting "First some praise."
