LRMs are in a good place seems more like
some players send more data then they need too lol.
getting 1 shotet by a volly of LRMS with a light orange red CT in a Quickdraw
wich isnt possibel!
have myself a stalker H and other LRM carriers and it spreads too much as
if that can happen by accident.

LRMS are fine take 3 ppc stalkers vs 3 lrm stalker
ppc stalker win hands up everytime except other ones
are far far superior in movement and positioning


AMS and if the PPC stalkers are 5s well lol at the rockets
getting shot down faster as they can reach the target
if the lrms arend in sync

I like how he has one thread where he says that the highlander is such trash compared to the stalker, because it's not as heat efficient. Then he has another where he says his stalker is the worst of the assaults for heat efficiency.

Awful as a secondary. AMS forces you to boat. CT targetting is broken.

LRMs and their counters make the missile system unbalanceable. LRMs aren't OP, but they are brokenly strong or weak depending on the situation.

Then you're not using them correctly. Not everyone runs AMS and AMS is only 100% effective if the missiles are fired from a fair distance away. An LRM20 is an effective secondary weapon. I am running multiple mechs with either a single LRM20 or 2x ALRM10's and doing fine.

I won't dispute that boating them is better, but then you're taking them as a primary and it's supposed to be better.

really, i'd think its more appropriate to leave because of the alpha + range meta game instead of LRMs.

This game is obviously not for you and we definitely as hell wont change the game because you dont know how to play it..
Sucks to see the devs actually listening to pugs when it comes to making such changes..

Imho LRM are still UNDERpowered.

I agree, their damage is in a good place but still LRM have - in comparison to other weaponsystems in the same class (weight, damage, heat, etc.) - too many disadvantages. Mainly due to traveltime in addition with too many possibilities to take cover and of course the loss of target, ecm and ams. PPC/AC-snipers just peak over some rim and blast away. A mech featuring LRM need to stay on target for a long time or has to rely on spotters which doesn't work well most of the time (at least not in any pug-game).

Therefore, LRM are still UP. An exception of course (as with nearly any weaponsystem) are LRM-boats. If a stalker or awesome with 60 LRM blast away their effect is out of the question. That I'm nevertheless right overall is proven by the fact that you nearly see no mechs with less than 40 LRM anymore.

What's an LRM? Oh, those missiles that used to be in MWO. They are so perfectly balanced now no one uses them anymore.

LRMs are worthless right now. I think it is a bug from the 6/20 hotfix (reported). They usually don't hit, doesn't mean they always don't hit tho.

I think LRMs are pretty weak actually. As a main loadout, one of the weakest weapons. As a secondary weapon, not worth the weight and aiming difficulties. This seems to be what PGI wants though since anytime they become dangerous to other mechs, they get nerfed hard.

MechWarrior 3 had the best missiles. Very powerful and tricky to use in a game where lag ruled the day and yet no one ever said those missiles were overpowered. That's right, the only weapon immune to insane LAG was not called overpowered. Yet those LRMs crushed other mechs if you could make them hit, they just had horrible track and turn so they were easy to dodge.

MWO's LRMs are doomed to be weak sauce because they always hit similar to TT Battletech LRMs. You can't have a weapon that always hits be of any value.
