MWO is a nice game. I have pulled several friends into this game, who really like it, despite it being a beta. Admitted, alot of work needs to be done. Like gameplay balance. But eventually, you'll get there

But one thing has been quite the thorn in the eye...And that has been the "promotions"

These are always....And Always....MC orientated. "THIS MECH ONLY 500 MC INSTEAD OF 1250". THIS VISUAL THING 670 MC INSTEAD OF 1000"

This is where..you start to set apart the community. the ones who pay, and the ones who dont.
I like World of tanks, as they provide promotions for both Gold users and regular players. Tank X now down to 50% in regular ingame silver. Not payable gold credits like MC. Or infact, you can purchase visual stuff like camo with regular silver(Cbill) currency for a limited time, wich then you need to pay for it again.

They also often to multiplier promotions, in wich the first battle of the day per tank, you get 3x EXP and 2xmoney

MWO...Does not have that diversity. Every promotion is MC only. And the EXP/Cbill boost events, rarely appear

I think, in the long run, it would be much better for the game if PGI also introduced promotions for Non paying players

This weekend for example, is yet another promotion. Employee of the week. A cicada 2A for example, is only 850 MC instead of 1200. Be a jolly fellow PGI, and drop the Cbill price aswel.
Instead of 3 million Cbills, make it 2.5 Million. For example

This is not the same discount as the MC discount. But still a nice discount and a nice sign towards Non paying players= Hey we havent forgotten you guys!

This can pay back in positive Advertising and promotion of Non paying players. I always promoted MWO to people because there is no tier system. every mech can kill every mech, something many people hated in WOT. Well i was a non paying player back then. If i did that freely, others will aswel. And discounts like this can only encourage them.

Well these promotions are there to get people to spend MC.
Since its a free to play game and trying to avoid it being P2W, how would they benefit from selling mech for C-bills for less?
