Wow... this thread... Anyways, to the other Liao's complaining. The worst that could come is a ton of bodies to throw at tieing up enemy resoruces. CapCon is known for not caring about casualties, even the civies in CapCom space know that in bad times their job is to become fodde as State > Self. The best that can come is that we re-unite the inner sphere under our banner.

Eve is a much more complex game overall where stuff can get a bit more crazy as in hundreds vs hundreds in battle. Not gonna happen here.

I've seen a damn lot of posts in their forums of proud teamkillers and such scum, but we shouldn't prejudice their playstyle before the game's even live. Wait and see, and never feed the troll.

I have enjoyed this thread but the points raised in it are good. To sooth everyone's feelings I have decided to go Davion. I am sure all the goons will follow to allow Adridos to claim satisfaction on the field of glory.

So, I just wanted to toss in my two cents for $#!.$ and giggles, but honestly if I understand this correctly no matter what they do, They wont be able to do the same here as in Eve. I Played for 10 years, and there was always someone like GS. Be it corp or alliance, there is always someone to hate. That being said, I say let em in, let em play, more fight, more stuff to kill. I'll bet it will only make it better. There will be more people playing, and that just means more fun.

Eve/ MWO are apples and scew drivers. Not even remotely close, other then being online. If they play CapCon, let em. I agree with they guy that said MWO game mechanics, and how they are setting it up will prevent it from being over run with one faction.

On a side note for those into game lore. No one house will let any other house take all. Each house wants to be the one that reunites the Star league under their banner. So if one gets to close to that goal, all the others will knock them back down.

I have never had a run in with GS, and I honestly think its a matter of word of mouth being to distorted as its passed from one to another. In another 5 years GS could be killing puppies, and rolling grandma for their SS checks. I know there are a lot of single pilots and small corps screwing with people then GS, at least they protect a vast number more people then not. Who knows, but let them be who they are, and if you run into them in the game, and you are one that does not like them.... Then try to knock to knock them down.

No matter what, this is a game that 99% of us have been looking forward to. I look forward to taking my Lance onto a GS held planet to test our mettle against them.

In Eve the joke is if you are new you cannot hold a candle to those that have been playing for years. Becasue of the game mechanic on skill training this is one of the few games where people you have the time to play all day cannot power level and pwn other players. The Goons took that idea and turned it on its head by saying we can get 1000 newb ships and jam them down you system and it does not mattle how long you have been playing.

I think their reason to join the Capellan Confenderation has much less to do with culture and more about them being the underdog and general whipping boy of the Inner Sphere. Cappellan society is not what makes them the black sheep of the galaxy but the Liao bloodline churning out one psycho Chancellor after another. The Mittani is a hot head and it has bitten him several times. And when goons have no leadership and nothing to fight it is amazing how quickly they dissipate into nothing.

I think 'Space' is right between 'Mutant' and 'Robo' (which is 3 steps below 'Mecha' because it's less Toho rubber monster movie) on the Hitler scale.

They're not infamous, just well known griefers and good at what they do in EVE. However, they do have a luck of (removed) people in their ranks and these tend to get them a bad name.

Also, these forums are going to have a lot of one post throw away accounts if goons move to Mech warrior. They do that crap a lot on EVE forums.
