Shredhead, thanks for the link to the SA forums. When I read the EVE forums it is more like meta gaming with Goons. It is nice to see that they are just as confused and laughing their butts off about some of these complaints as I am. And it is also showing me that I need to start tuning up my controllers and getting everything ready so that when I can get in on the fighting that my skills are not going to be rusty.

I LOL at threads like these every time I see them in game forums. SA forum guilds are the best thing to happen to gaming since Thresh stopped playing Quake.

Hello again, thread. I've spent the afternoon working on my garden, and have returned to find an additional six pages of pubbies going apoplectic in an unprovoked rage, comparing what GSF has done in EVE to the holocaust (see page 5, thanks Gunmage!) without a shred of irony or perspective.

You should calm down. You should also stop getting so worked up about internet robot honor. Let's all just relax and enjoy the weekend, thanks!

Well all I was saying was it does not matter who they are, I think it just adds more fun to the game. More people to tussle with. I look forward to the fun. My above comments were just to say things get distorted as time goes by. I think if they do play, I will look to fight them more because they chose CapCon, over them being Goonz.

My only real consistent interaction with goon clans is WoT. All I can say is that they really enjoyed making sure that people who were bad knew they were bad, and that you could rely on them to know what they were doing.

Basically, no problems with them whatsoever.

Some of us are pretty upset that the EVE goons are getting all the fame, Goons play a lot of games and dominate in most of them.
We know that certain people will be able to get house "rep" which could give certain people some authority within the game if enough of it is accumulated.
We intend on making The Mittani that person for Liao, if he would so humbly accept

First, that Mittani guy won't rule anything because of the same reason Metro won't. Everything in the game is decided by devs, if you want to rule something, make a merc corp.

You know, I think that any so-called Capellan that might rage so hard against their fellow members (even goon ones) isn't really living up to the House's decree that we provide a united front against the other Successor States. In fact, I'd say that Adridos' rants here are very divisive and completely un-Liaolike.

I'm tempted to think he might even be a spy for those filthy Davions trying to sabotage the Glorious House Liao Forum.

Just sounding off as a non-goon EvE player. Honestly, I've never had trouble with the Goons. Granted, I'm not stupid enough to fly into their space, or needlessly antagonize an alliance several thousand members strong, and when I find out they're blowing up peoples ships I play it safe and don't just fly an unarmored mining ship. People get scared of them because they're willing to play hard, they work together, and they don't follow rules that other players try to impose on them (ie. space bushido). If you play the game seriously and learn from your mistakes you'll get along just fine (assuming you're thick skinned). If you play by made up rules and expect other people to follow them to, the Goons will waste you (hey, just like real life!). Yes they can be douchebags, but if you think a free-to-pay competitve multiplayer won't already have loads of those then you've got worse problems.

Yes, I'm another noob with little actual direct experience, but that's something I share with all the idiots posting paranoid anti-Goon rants based on rumors they heard.
