There has always been one thing or another not balanced about MWO since its inception. If it isn't one weapon it's another. This thread is NOT to be about any specific current meta or perceived imbalance of the system (although I will put in an opinion question at the end just to see what is the perceived largest single issue with the game at present). This is just meant to be a gauge of how players are feeling about the game in general right now.

FUBAR.

PS: Your poll could use some additional items for "highest priority" fixes:

-Role warfare
-Information warfare (replace ECM as a poll option?)
-PPC Meta
-Brawler buffs
-Content
-Hitboxes
-Convergence
-Heat scale penalties

A good poll, but the last question is a bit rough. I'd rather it be further "zoomed out" for like "Brawler meta, recon meta, support meta," etc, because really fixing just ACs or just SRMs wouldn't fix everything, but fixing LBX and SRMs would fix a lot of things.

I ultimately voted matchmaker because I think the game is still much, much more fun with tonnage restrictions.

Game needs a more restrictive fitting system involving weapon slot size resitriction... Essentially, just because you have an energy slot and the tonage does not mean you should always be able to fit a ppc.... (replace with aprojectile example if that works better for you)

Great poll. Too bad PGI is so weak with community interaction we don't even know if they'll ever pay attention to something like this

Nice poll, but I doubt PGI will listen. Personally, I just played my last match of MWO. I'm ******* done with this game until the ******** meta is fixed and I highly encourage everyone else to stop playing and stop spending money until PGI gets their **** together. I will not be recommending MWO until then and will be actively telling people to avoid it.

I can't wait until clan tech is added and we see everyone running around with Ultra AC/20s double tapping everyone to death in 5 seconds or less.

I have no illusions that they would. I just wanted to get a sense of what the rest of the community thought (though I already had my suspicions). I'm about ready to call it for this as well. Considering how long it takes to find a match anymore I suspect that means a LOT of other people already have bailed out.

in closed beta I formed a group - we had about 150 people join up. We use to have on average 5 8 mans going at night.

Now we might get four or so players for MWO on a weekend evening - most people moved on to other games, Rift is really popular with the guys now.

They want to be able to use other weapons besides PPC to be effective, but right now thats the gameplay they are forced in to if they want to play competitively - so they don't.

I hate to play the B word but because this is Beta I understand and appreciate that many features are out of balance, poorly conceived, rushed to implementation etc..and will be revisited and corrected HOWEVER this is why communication is vital. I crap you negative when I say that I would feel 100% better about this game if the Devs communicated and expressed, as best they can, the immediate roadmap, their vision, the overall balance schema they're pursuing etc... If I felt a tiny measure of enthusiasm from the Devs I could easily tolerate loads of bugs and balance issues. I think the what needs to be addressed with the highest priority is communication from the Devs. If they let us know that they too were frustrated by the issues we face - frustrated as a player and fans of MW, not frustrated as a Dev - and made a small effort to encourage our patience by including us in their vision I would have no complaints about any balance or content issue. Maybe the management or IGP keeps this from happening, maybe the Devs really want to do this but legitimately can't, who knows, I feel they could do a better job keeping the original - non-normal - fanbase much happy by simply telling us why things are the way they are and what the roadmap for resolution is likely to be.

I suspect we all would, but PGI seems to have completely clammed up. These last patch notes, for instance, were a smack in our face with them only saying "big things are coming" as if that was going to hype us up or some ****. Considering how absolutely awful of a state this game is in right now, they need to cut the cutesy ******** and just be straight with us on a consistent basis.

Our "community manager" seems to have just ****** off and decided to go spend their time at work reading Cracked instead of doing their job.

The last question needs some work - I voted for alpha's being the problem, but really it's convergence. A huge alpha spread over a mech is completely fine - 60 points of pinpoint damage from 1000m+ is not.

The game has so much needing working on - its making me wonder if they are just toying with this as an odd-job project and have other part or full time jobs that divide their attention than this. Sometimes I wonder if they are even putting a serious effort in it all.

Also, how many exactly are working on this? I've seen odd machinations come out of a small group of friends faster than we've seen here.

Wow, you completely misunderstood what is going on with the meta. Give what you said five seconds of thought and you'll see how silly of a statement that is.

Voted other:
8-man queue without any access to 5, 6, 7 drops - not to mention who knows about 9,10,11 man drops has totally F'd the ability of larger social games, neutering the overall appeal of this by a lot.

Why can't elo account for high ranked pugs against a 5 man? WTF?

I currently play only on patch day or just after to see the changes. I will not put my hand in my pocket for MC etc until the final product arrives. This drip feed of content is I believe to pull in the cash. Time will tell but someone has a vision for the final product and its longevity, it seems a lot of people do not share that vision or its been communicated badly.

No. Boats would not lose power compared to other weapons just because the enemy armor is lower.

If you're whining about the double armor values in this game please stop, because you're being bad.
