As much as i like the cockpit shake one thing that is annoying me know is how the reticule jumps around.

I would prefer how other FPS games handle inaccuracy - increasing the size of the cursor - much easier on the eyes.

The shake could be toned down a bit, and maybe only have the shake be in the downward direction rather than both up and down while also shaking right and left some as well. I think this would make it more aesthetically pleasing.

i agree, just increase the size of the circle/crosshair rather than making it shake everywhere, same result, better gameplay experience.

No. The reticule needs to shake a lot to actually matter for missile lock purposes.

The cockpit shake is the real problem, since it actually causes nausea for many players. That is what really needs to go.

I haven't tried to shoot missiles when jump jetting so not sure about that.

I find the cockpit shake fine - it looks cool feels right.
The reticule shake is what i find annoying since that is what you try focus on and it goes crazy - much more nausea inducing in my opinion.

at the very least maintaining a lock isn't difficult. i have a catapult C1 with a pair of streaks (the only mech i have that i don't feel like a cheating A-hole while using streaks) and a pair of jump jets. it isn't hard to keep a lock that is already acquired while jumping.
