i would love to not stop when looking at the map or mission status or chatting.

Turn off "gas pedal" mode in preferences.

cool ill check it out after my reinstall is done.do you mean throttle decay in options?is there a preferences setting page?

Yep, throttle decay.

I believe if you uncheck it in options, it will allow you to keep moving in the direction you were last moving while looking at the map and while typing in chat. At least it used to before they added throttle decay (aka "gas pedal" mode).

works just fine for me, just like it did before. it was a little frustrating having to shut off the damned training wheels when they added them though (throttle decay and arm lock).

Or, you could use the numpad, + and - work for throttle, also you can use the numbers to set a speed. So press 0 and do what you gotta do :ph34r:

Did anyone actually leave them on longer than two minutes?

I left them on for about 8 minutes...which was about how long the first match I played lasted after they implemented this garbage.

i use a weapon controller analog throttle with decay off and still i cant stop stopping, any ideas?

now you are introducing any number of potential bugs and issues. without debugging it directly myself, i have no idea even what to fix.
