That and I think a lot of people never tried Arm Lock in bursts with the button, because they either leave it enabled entirely (are new) or think of it as a training wheels feature (are slightly less new). I don't think it was introduced to destroy the entire arm/torso aiming dynamic, but that's exactly what it did.
