Greetings,

based on a post in Game Balance thread, too lazy to link, I would propose a suggestion that along with the c-bill boost for the 1st 25 games, that Arm Lock be usable during this period, but then remain off permanently from there-on out.

Reasons from other thread:

1.) Causes almost immediate convergence of arm and torso weapons allowing for more accurate pin-point damage than would normally be possible without a skillful approach.
2.) Ruins new player experience in gaining said skill.
3.) Add the ability to color code the aiming doohickeys.

As part, and only part, of the problem of high-pin point alphas, this would go along way in determining a better balanced solution by taking off the training wheels after a certain period of time; still a casual experience for a while, but then it promotes you to become part of the big-boys club once you achieve some time in the game.

Sorry to the original poster in game balance for high-jacking.

Not going to link a thread that Devs may not pour through; besides, the original poster posted in Game Balance and not here where they may look. Added the feature to color code the aiming doohickey (it's a good idea).

So I guess arm lock is the new whipping boy now. If anything is broken it's the mandatory torso trail behind the arms when not locked for any mech with lower arm actuataors. It's plain bad mechanics that the arms and torso aren't locked anyway as long as arm movement doesn't exceed torso range/speed.

I dont understand why a thread near five pages needs to be repeated here minus the link. I will assume its not for being underhanded or anything like that. I posted there because my vision is impared its near impossible for me to see the line or circle so the arm lock is my way to play. So after two posts by me and several others the outcome is not what you want but please be fair and don't appear
underhanded to others for the excuse of being lazy. Include the links or ask the mods to delete this thread.

You may include the link if you wish; I think the suggestion thread is just that, for suggestions, and I wanted it to be concise and to the point. But, I did add to allow for changing the color of the aiming doohickey.
