Great announcement, bought overlord as soon as I saw it, as has the wife and at least 1 friend.

Personally though, now that we have a good few mechs, I would like to see more focus on expanding the features and other areas of content on the game, specifically the addition of community warfare and more maps, as these are key to longevity for this game.

While I am for more mechs and such I would prefer to get more content and the clans / guild features in the game. Also, I feel that as a Legendary founder of the game I got much less than this package. They are getting four mechs and the normal variants as well so they can master the mech chasis. Founders didn't get the extra mechs and paid the same money.Founders also had to buy mech bays for the chasiss to master the mechs. I think that they should have done something like the founder package with this new version. Then made these phoenix mechs version hero types we can all buy later. I am debating buying them and feel the founders getting a cockpit item is lame. Compare the below with what is being offered.

$120 LEGENDARY Founder's Package Includes:
• All 4 exclusive “Founder's BattleMechs.” These Mechs include a lifetime, per-match C-Bill booster.
• $80 value of in-game currency* for in-game item purchases.
• Three-month premium account to MechWarrior Online at launch: Earn XP & C-Bills faster.
• Founder's Tag - sets your status apart from the crowd & get noticed in-game and on the forums.
• Game credits – The player’s name included as one of the “Legendary” in the MechWarrior Online game credits.
• Early access to the game along with Founder's assets availability starts August 7th.

For $80 bucks they get..........

I think that for $120 we should have gotten more. The 80$ MC would have been used to buy mechs and bays etc that would be needed for the additional nine mechs and Bays to Master the Mech chasis. Just doesn't seem fair to me.

I missed out on Founders by a week, and I'm more a fan of the unseen than clans, so I'm not passing up on this one. Purchased as soon as I got home from work. Full steam ahead.

mechs delivered on Oct 15th!?

Not gonna lie, 4 months is a longass time to sit and wait for anything in the real world, let alone a video game with very limited original gameplay (ie: small number of maps, 2 game modes that both kind of suck, game defining features announced at beta launch that have not been mentioned in months (Community Warfare, Role Warfare, directx 11, etc). Plus with the attrition I've seen in the community, it's pretty hard for me to commit to buying this... I mean I want to... but I don't want to play the same game for the next 4 months that I've already been playing since last October (aka: current game is tired and incomplete).

I have no problem with the packages and their structure, they seem quite reasonable - but I question the decision to sell them well ahead of implementing features that should have been in the game a long time ago.

Read the FAQ of Phoenix Project and you'll see that we can expect Community Warfare to be launched at October 15... Lately PGI announced a new set of IS mechs (Victor, Quickdraw) and I was like; "What now, with this many IS it will take entire months to be done with them? -Unless PGI steps up the mech release frequency- Then I think something like this: Well I can wait; they're waiting to drop the bomb with the clans these are the last add-ups. Here, I've got the bomb. More IS mechs! Now, If I remember, there was a clan war...
PGI; the clans are important! Especially for this Phoenix Project. These are the reasons:
Lately there has been a poll on the forum. "If clans are made available, which one would you be in?" I don't remember it perfectly but at around 3.000 people voted. This means at least 3.000 of your people are Clan.
I am Jade Falcon to the tiniest bits of my mechwarrior consciousness. I am a founder; and I want to know what will happen to the MC I spent (roughly 200 dollars, but more on 300 side with founders) on IS hero mechs when you might say; Now you're a clanner and you can't use an IS mech... and truth be told you should say that; becaus after I am Jade Falcon I won't want to have a stravag IS mech, it is a mech fit for the dezgra and solahma.
I spent money on them because I need them for farming; for Clans.
If you don't say; "We'll reset the MC and Mechs; returning your C-bills earned in the meantime(or at least let you sell your IS mechs for their full price for a limited time)." I'll look at everything suspicious.
Because PGI, I farmed my rear end off for those C-bills on the basis that you said there won't be resets. Let us say you are planning to launch the clans after they return from Strana Mechty and choosing new Ilkhan; like you should, because after delaying it this much it would be silly to release them now. That makes a feasible clan release date 3051; their return, which is 2014 real time.
The problem is this: None of these are made certain. Nothing is made certain. Clans not explained. Community warframe unexplained. Will the old Hero Mechs be added Loyalty Boost? Unexplained.
If so, I don't want to spend money on Phoenix Project.
Don't get me wrong the Locust looks SUBLIME, that was the one mech I wanted to have as an IS, but that's the mech design team right there. The Design team is good, I applaud them as a designer myself, I wish I was a part of them;(no im not trying to be hired) but they can't shoulder the game. The game needs Community Warfare, more battle modes. More maps. The timeline needs Clans because people need to decide what to do with themselves. Earlier in the year if the project was released; I would say "One overlord please; Shut up and take my money."
Now this only serves to shake my trust.

So then 4 "hero" mechs and 3 months premium time isn't worth $40?

Also.. you can't compare something you bought a year ago to something that's available today.

4 hero mechs, 8 non hero mechs, 3600MC worth of mech bays..
The hero mechs alone would regularly sell for ~$20+ each.
Mechbays are worth about $20 total
Premium time would cost you about 10,000MC which equates to $40-50 depending on how you would purchase it..

Assuming you actually like the game and believe PGI will deliver a well rounded game experience eventually.. how is that not worth $80?

I think the value is there, however the question is not "is this worth $80", it's "do I believe in PGI enough to shovel them more money". For me at least, that is a difficult question to answer.

I know that some of people feels PGI has failed them, and I gotta admit I feel that way too. Im gonna be calmy keeping my hands on wallet and wait whats coming coming weeks, a month deside is good time give them time prove us wrong. I only hope they got plans and good reasons ask more money that advance, and they got something in sleeves to fix current state. I only know that next month patch gonna be huge with their words, and developers said they gonna review everything entirely again before releasing the game, meaning chance we get rid of biggest issues then. Atm Im gonna wait and see what even given mechs will be, before rushing. but 3 options is fine for me, Ive lost little faith on assaults mechs myself. and I aint old TT players xD

They have already said that coming weeks we get more about CW so CALM DOWN... it feels sometimes we got big kindergarden here.

My brother sent me a text on this.

I came to the website and searched for Project Phoenix.

I whipped out my credit card as fast as I could.

I don't care if the Locust's load out sucks, I'm going to pilot it and have fun doing it.

Confess i prefered the Marauder has the reseen heavy mech (locust is based on a macross mech so harmony gold can be dodged it seems), but i am already jumping like a kid due to Shadow Hawk and Battlemaster mechs coming up. they are both my ABSOLUTE favorites.

that aside, a small question, does the bonus founder medallion offered to founders who purchase project phoenix comes with any benefits like the house medalions? maybe a small % to either Xp or c-bills (would be nice since we did invest twice in the game's crowdfunding).

I think PGI pricing is a bit on the high side. The top level package(s) should basically be about full price game price. I'd say about $60 for the top package and work downwards from there.

I know devs gotta eat etc etc by why price yourselves to points where people might buy but end up resenting it afterwards? Just like a good chunk of Founders resent it.

Honestly I think the whole Founders deals from the starts kind of messed up pricing plans being so overpriced to begin with... in fact I think they should reconsider all their pricing and start with offering top packs for the equivalent of full price games and work down from there.

Hi people still don't realize the art crew who develop/design/build the new mechs have nothing whatsoever to do with the other teams working on CW etc?

This is a really cool package, the only thing im left wondering is "if I already own all the mechs I would want for the next 4 months, what do I want with a cbill bonus?" :)

This is a kick in the teeth to us Founders, we thought we were "special" to PGI, by helping them develop the game.

Now this, cheers PGI for nothing, you lost my vote.

This feels like a cheap marketing scheme to keep players in the game,

I admit i was wrong, did not see this coming at all and i look forward to the griping on the redesigns. =)

Now the battlemaster does make sense as i heard that it will be in the new BT boxed set. (could be wrong)

I am still right about the Macross mechs tho... Those are still pariah

Are you damaged somehow, how is this a kick in the teeth. We paid our due and we got our rewards. Nobody is taking away your founders title nor your mechs. But the thing is, many people missed the founders programme and one of the most requested things over the years is a similar programme. So how is this taking anything away from your founders pack?

when oh when are you going to implement Clans,.....
proposing a nice package deal when left in the dark about Clan Mechs is an outright nasty trick. :-)
it leaves us unable to plan...
