i bought a phoenix package - but besides the "confirmation email"...where can I see a confirmation on my profile, that the package has been activated for me?

I'm about to enter my senior year of an Aerospace engineering degree.

This was supposed to be the semester I buckle down and focus on studies.

And you had to go and do this.

About to enter my last semester in Aerospace engineering, accompanied by job hunting and moving location.

I'm so screwed. PGI can you give me an interview since your game is single-handedly ruining my prospects for employment elsewhere?

I see a lot of people saying things along the lines of, "I already paid over $200 for this game. You're not getting another cent out of me until I see improvements".

I think this is a completely fair argument. PGI really does need to start showing some steady progress towards the big ticket items this game has been promising for over a year now.

That said, I have only spent $60 on the original Founders Program, and buying the $80 Project Phoenix package will bring the total up to $140. It's a lot of money for a game I've only played for about 1 year. However, I still have faith in this game and more to the point, I have spent a LOT of hours on it. I've paid $60 for other games I might only play for ~20 or 30 hours. If I estimate the time I've spent playing MWO since I got into the beta back in July, it has to be somewhere around 150 - 200+ hours of gaming. I'm not done playing this game yet, so I'm willing to pay PGI a few more bucks to have a good time.

Head has 15 internal / 18 max armor. You need exactly 2 Gauss Rifles and one small laser for a headshot.
I'm disappointed with you Mustrum. A spreadsheet warrior should know better :-)

Damn. One careless comment, and there goes my reputation.

Go here:

If the boxes to the left say CURRENT, then that is the level you have purchased.

Seriously, nobody's complaining about Founders being screwed here?

Or have I just not looked hard enough. (read; at all)

So, us 2012 Founders are stuck with Founders mechs at 25% and no loyalty bonus? I'd like to see PGI thank their long-standing customers by extending these latest benefits to their Founders mechs.

That said, I guess that we aren't returning to a 2mech/month format any time soon, and "launch" is October 15th. Still undecided if I'll buy in to this.

I agree, being a Legendary Founder, along with all my current hero mechs they all now seem useless to me if they are NOT retrofitted with this Loyalty bonus...

What gives PGI?

PGI is going to milk the hardcore TT fans for money by selling reseen mechs, and then they're gonna introduce 3PV to please those who prefer mechassault...

Mech Assault was fun for what it was; A fast-paced shooter with some very interesting gameplay elements that just happened to be themed in the Battletech universe. If you wanted a sim, then no, MechAssault is not going to be for you.

Personally, there hasn't been a Battletech-related video game that I haven't enjoyed, even Mechwarrior on the SNES was enjoyable for me and it has almost NOTHING to do with Battletech. I mean, wtf are those mechs in that game anyways?

I'm very interested in getting my hands on these mech's, but as other's have said gameplay is v.poor atm with the alpha builds, so while i want to get them i will wait for the gameplay balance comming to see if PGI are able to bring some much needed variation back into the matches.

I hope they can but i have seen too many times since Beta, balance has been thrown completly out of whack by poor testing/implementation.

This whole affair is simply disgusting beyond belief.

First they get the whole thing going with the help of the founders and now they screw the whole thing over.

Over the past months progress has been a total joke. PGI has done shoot-nuthin to make this game significantly better and the addition of new content to spice things up has been a sad trickle. But don't worry, if you are a founder you can become a founder again now. And if you are no founder yet, you get a second chance. In exchange you get... Well, not much really. Sure, some math wizards will try to convince you otherwise. Wow. Mechbays worth X and Hero Mechs worth Y, plus more mechs worths Z and premium time worth... Oh, wait. There is an error in that calculation. It uses the word "worth". See, a Hero Mech is NOT actually worth what PGI charges for it. In fact the current prizing of the in-game items is simply vulgar and completely perverted and on top of that things are increasingly including pay2win items, like superior coolant shots and more.

This game is not free2play. It is increasingly divided into two groups of players. Those who pay absurd amounts of money and those who provide the cannon fodder for them. Sure, for some of us these sums do not cut a hole into our wallets. That is not the point in evaluating prizing, though. If a tomato would cost 25$ we could all still afford to eat one every once in a while. But we would not be making any tomato salad, unless we were rich. This is what the gaming industry is doing more and more these days, blowing up the cost of one game so that it costs as much as 2-3 full price titles used to cost, while at the same time not delivering a corresponding increase in quality and content.

On top of all that, all this is for a game that simply seizes to exist the very second that PGI goes belly up.

I expected PGI to do exactly this when they add the Clans and I still do, but I was surprised that they did it just now. Eventually, there will be three money grabs and each one will become more and more absurd. The pricing in this game is already way off and so far they have done nothing at all to adjust that. Not even once. And they don't need to, because enough sheople roll with it.
"Shut up and take my money" has to be the most mindless, most self-debasing statement that could ever come from a consumer's mouth.

I don't know if I will buy this. Right now I think I won't, but if I did, I already know that I will not be happy about it. There is a sense of disgust and abomination that will not wash away.

Ah.. the Shadow Hawk revealed today looks like a real Shadow Hawk unlike the unfortunate picture of the Locust.

Well I was about 70-80% set on buying the full pack but wanted to wait to see what the mech were like. TBH neither the locust nor shadow hawk have grabbed me spec wise. Locust looks to be a dust collector in the mech bay.

The shadow hawk they are quoting doesn't seem great hardpoint wise. Single energy compared to three ballistic and three missile. I know it comes with only a single laser but couldn't we have stretched to two energy points.

I may still get it but neither of these phoenix mechs seem to be the best variants of the mechs they could have chosen. Makes me think the standard ones will have better hardpoints but by then it's too late to buy it.

This looks like quite a good deal, and I can't help but be a bit twerked that it's such a better deal than the Founder's pack. I feel like there should be some sort of discount (or some freebie nod) on Project Phoenix for Founders, who spent more for much less, at (arguably) greater risk. That said, I will probably still support this.

About 50 pages of posts (in two distinct threads) and not a single PGI comment to questions or suggestions or whatever. I still remember when the founder program was launched, Russ himself (!!!) was answering questions from the community... That kind of attention made me instantly buy a Founder pack, without even considering if I was getting my bang for the buck.
They really need to hire someone whose sole job is to communicate with the community. They started great but are doing a terrible job nowadays.
