Good I didn't blow good money only to have one of my drunk friends sell one of the non standard ones. Are Hero mechs like this too?

NOPE.

(as I can attest to having accidentally sold my Yen Lo Wang back when the interface placed the "sell" button in the same area as one of the other buttons... I think it was the "ready 'mech" button, as I was changing my default lineup)

but seriously.. 90 day premium, 12 mechs and bays, not a bad deal, but most importantly, Battlemaster

I do wish there was an option to just choose though, then i would have just got Shadowhawk and Battlemaster.

So I bought 'Overlord' on the first day but... being a graphic designer I really would prefer to use the 'Storm' or 'Talon' icons. That was basically the debate I had in my head when I bought it.

My thoughts that day; "Sure 'Overlord' is the best deal but the graphic and name of the tier is not as cool as 'Talon' or 'Storm'. Also wouldn't 'Storm' be more fitting for the Thunderbolt's tier? And I'm really only interested in the Light and Medium. But 'Overlord' is significantly the best deal with all that premium time, 'mechs and 'mech bays. *buys*"

INDEED. I dig the way the names of the package and the package symbols were incorporated into the paintjobs, but I also kind of hope that some of that was just artistic license, or that we can choose which badge/package name we can display. Bonus points if the higher tiers can choose to display a lower tier's badge/paintjob, like a BattleMaster having "Talon" written in the pinstripe instead of "Overlord" or Thunderbolt wearing the "Storm" badge instead of "Guardian". I also noticed that there seems to be an extra "name" decal that shows the name (or shortened form of the name) of the chassis... I'm really hoping we could use that to display the names of our mechs

You know, as happy as I am with the pack, and I did buy Overlord tier... IT'S CALLED PROJECT PHOENIX, WHERE'S MY PHOENIX HAWK?!

I chose Commando as my starting light since it was one of my first mechs in the old PC game Battletech: The Crescent Hawk's Inception. Would also love to get my hands on the Phoenix Hawk, more for nostalgia sake than anything, I admit
