Are people really arguing that PGI needs to hire more people so that they can fix their problems and release more content that they think is relevant and stop trying to do a cash grab? I think that some people may not really understand how businesses work. They need these so called 'cash grabs' to get more money, they then use this money to hire more people.

I know a lot of people think that the 5million they got for the founder's package should be enough. But this isn't an indie developer, companies like this burn through money very quickly. Heck the 5 million is really only enough to pay for a few maps. I know this doesn't make sense to many people so they think that PGI is just lying to squeeze more money out of them, but it is true.

I think what you don't get is last time we gave $120 to MWO in hopes of further developing it, it went to IGP and its other games. What says this money will go into the development of MWO this time. I need some kind of proof this game wont sink in the next couple of months, show some kind of progression (hint CW) before i put another penny into it.

As I said before I'm all for giving PGI a ton of money..if it goes to PGI..and they fix balance, fix bugs, GIVE US A LOBBY like every other game has in existence, put out a meta game..like CW ect...they mention a plan for CW once in 2011..and then complete silence, so supposedly its coming soon. Doesn't the silence worry people?

Remember all those great pillars PGI talked about..yet none of them exist? Weight balance, role warfare, CW ect...it doesnt exist.

shadow hawk looks really sweet man, i hope they would actually sell them individually. I dont really want a locust and i definately would not spend 40$ for a medium mech.

I'm not generally a fan of the unseen (they're all ripped from 80's animes...you can't get much more cheesy[I actually dislike the locust in particular]), but I'll definitely be picking up a talon package. That's a sexy 'mech.

Meh, that's precisely a reason *to* like them. 80's designs were so much better than 70's, and were only improved upon in the 90s through crazy gimmicks.

80's was all about massive panel lining, transformations, and crazy almost unnecessary levels of detail. Best era ever to take cues from.

Cheesy would be if they modeled something after a late 70s anime, but that'll never happen because what's done is already done :(

Also, the Shadowhawk is looking real fine. They did a great job as long as they don't fatten it up immensely from that.

Not sure if it fixed or is it as you saw it but yeah that first 5 looks little like 6, but it is 5 if you zoom in.

It's funny. For the longest time We've argued over the reseen/unseen and why not have Alex do them in his art style figuring they'd look so completely different there shouldn't be any potential for a lawsuit. Now that I am seeing them they look amazing and that argument holds even more true.

But you get 6 mechs for $40 and 6 mech bays. And 30 days early bird premium time.

360 engine rating... I really hope that it's RT and LT got small hitboxes... otherwise this won't be useful...

Triple AC2 Sniper anybody? It should be more useful than the Hunchback due to it's not so bulky sidetorso. :(
There will be ways to make it work!

But I simply don't understand a 20t Locust in this game... no weapons, no armor and not faster that anything up to 35t... ;)
I like lights, but this one does not seem to be worth trying...

@ Xeno Phalcon

It's hard to complain about a mech that reminds me of my favorite show.

It's basically a HBK-4G with the cannon on the other torso and missile over energy hard points.

It's an alternative to the Flea with probably more variants. It also has a Clan IIC retrofit like the Shadow Hawk. So it has potential for both the Inner Sphere forces and Clan forces.

Pretty much. I'm currently wracking my brain to figure out how to make it work.

XL means no AC/20. Gauss means a bomb in your side torso. Standard engine can't fit too much. Missile launchers are pretty tube limited.

Oh dear . . .

Uh, Just for clarification, do I need to buy mech bay slots for the mechs I get in the package? I assume no since I got the mech bay for my founders mech included in the price.

This new Shadow Hawk...

Not to say I'm completely disappointed, but I expected better. Head is too square and cockpit window is too vertical, I believe it had a more streamlined head originally. The laser on its right hand is reduced to a Quickdraw-style unimpressive tube, whereas SH could always be recognized by a very distinctive and large laser mount on its hand. Finally, the cannon mount is as immobile as it can be, which not only makes it too much like a hunchback, but also means PGI has no plans to implement movable shoulder-mounted weapons at least up until November, and while I don't mind raising leg-mounted machineguns into torsos or bringing backfacing lasers forward, this is a kind of homogenization that may kill the diversity of mechs.

I know we're not getting Marauders, but if we did and they too had fixed dorsal autocannons, I'd not be happy at all.

Let's wait and see what Thunderbolt and Battlemaster look like. They better not have scrapped the 'Master's Xenomorph-head cockpit...
