I bought founders and phoenix but I really don't like the way some things are heading: 3PV and Consumables.

As for MWO development, I have mixed feelings. I like some of the things they're doing and not others. Some more I just have reservations about and I'm waiting to see how things turn out.

Although development is a tad slow, there has been and continues to be balance changes, modules, features, maps and 'Mechs added. I may not agree with everything (3PV). But I can not think of too may games that did everything exactly right. In my particular case, the $80 I spent on Project Pheonix is a great value and I look forward to the content.
As long as the good, out weighs the bad and I am still enjoying the game....It's money well spent. Hell, if they announced a package tommorow with a Wasp, Wolverine, Rifleman and Warhammer I'd give them ANOTHER $80!!!

And remember kiddies, It took a fair chunk of legal cash over and above development to make sure they was no "unseen" problems with these mechs...............

I generally agree that the sale is a good value, but my interest in the game (and the sale) is now really contingent on the details of CW that I hope will be released prior to the end of the sale. Lacking these details, I find myself unable to commit more money to this game.

but personally i still do not like the 2 patches per month , its in beta and a beta needs constant fixing/updating ( i suppose its easier for them tho)
Things will come but from what i'v seen it is sorta very slowwww ( and even so it just feels like the new features are kinda stale )
If what Russ said is true and 100% is going towards Mechwarrior Online then they should certainly have more dosh to speed up development time by hiring staff or other things
Well better quality then cheap eh?
Praise Russ and the All-Star Father!

Sure you do get access to them before others and I'm sure an argument could be made about how pre-ordering things happens everywhere.

I like the sale, but the development is leaving a bit to be desired. That said, even though I like the sale, I haven't bought it yet. There were "big things coming in July", right? so that means that I they have one more patch to make or break a sale with me. If the big thing for July was the announcement itself, well, it's not big enough.

Yeah agree more or less. I used the founders for about 57250xp each and now they collect spiderwebs. I dont understand rly why people buy hero's or champions. If they gave srs adv, people would cry havoc.

This is pretty much where I stand, too.
I do not believe that any additional funding will be funneled to PGI. I do not see my "support" going anywhere that will make a difference, no matter how much or what I spend and the biggest detractor to me is not knowing where the state of the game will be in a year. I do not want to put out (with Phoenix) over $150 on a game... hell period, but especially not knowing any sort of roadmap at all.
Face it.
We do not know what CW is.
We do not know if we are getting clan mechs.
We do not know if we are getting clan tech.
We do not know where the meta will be in a year.
We do not know overall the life of the game.
We do not know when DX11 will be here (if at all)
We do not know if the old chassis will ever get a final pass.
And I hate to say it, but any "wait and see" promises they give us are suspect at this point. We have been 'waiting to see' more command chair posts, more dev posts, more information as a whole. Heck, the information does not even have a single point for dispersal - you have to go all over twitter, NGNG, Twitch, Facebook... it is ridiculous.
They just do not seem... organized. It is a LOT to ask someone to put up $80 for goods they may or may not even LIKE without ever showing them totally what they are getting and what state they will receive said goods.
Not to mention asking founders who paid $120 for 4 robots to shill out another $80 for 12. KIND of like a slap in the face, really.
At the very least, SHOW US what the money will be going for. As it is, we are all beta testers funding a game that may never get out of beta. We are your financial investors, at this point, so maybe respect us a little more and show us some data. Give us a good feeling that we are not going to be stuck with HUD bugs for 4 months like we were before. Let us know what CW is about and let us be involved in the process so we can tell you up front what we like and do not like.
Bah. Anyways. That is how I feel.

My experiences with the game have been positive for the most part and I see that improvements are being made and am looking forward to CW going live.

I want a 55 ton medium. I want a battlemaster. I want the nifty paint. I want the forum color. I want the symbol next to my name in game. I want the custom geometry for these mechs. I want all of it.
Beyond the emotional connection to my childhood, I missed the founders package and I do want this game to succeed.
Love the game despite its flaws. In comparison to the other currently available mech titles it reigns supreme.
I feel more or less the same...as a longterm Boardgame Battletech player.... The missing community warfare, 12v12... or anything thats not "a new Mech" - those, we get a lot...,especially that the Devs seem hellbent on a 3rd person mode NO ONE here really feels comfy witn... kinda keeps gnawing on my faith.
But then.. it would not be the first game i pumped money in...namely "TSW"-Lifetimer & "Defiance"-Deluxe Starter, all Stillbirths.... that i can just deinstall and forget, if it finally takes a turn i dont like,. with MWO it would be extra painful though, cause basically, i love Battletech.

My concerns are around is this all we'll be going live with? We need more games modes and really another half a dozen maps ideally.
The matches can still be fun but it can get tiring getting the same map for everyone to head to the same area and slug it out. They also need to make the game a combative element and not just who can alpha a target quickest.
