[Carbon Guardian]

This thread is to discuss the problem with hero mechs. Well there isn't really a problem with them persay. But it would be nice if Hero mechs came in more of a variety and were not a variant of a current chassis.
For example the flame and fang are both Dragon chassis variants, well cool for dragon pilots not so much for other heavy pilots. I understand that money needs to be made and it takes an artists time to create these wonderful works of art, but some expansion would be nice if possible.
Why can't the player select what mech variant it counts towards in it's weight class? Say I like the mech but don't care for some of the hardpoints of a certain variant. BAM! I buy the hero mech for the boost, I like it, and cause it's a rare chassis only 1 variant. Now I can apply it to one of my heavy mechs cause it's in the same weight class.
I am suggesting that a hero mech should be a mech we would not normally get due to the lack of variants for that chassis.
