Why are all the mechs the same sizes, and they all look like they are roid raging. I mean, there's no way a locust could carry that much armor and still be 20 tons. And centurions, why on earth are they the size of a larger heavy mech? Is it purely for aesthetics, like in an overly masculine Gears of War kind of way? Is it some sort of, strange balance thing gone horribly wrong? It seems like they are just BIGGER bullseyes for the Go-Big-or-Go-Home meta game. I mean i know you all originally said that each class would have their role, but that's not the way the game currently is balanced towards at all. Were they originally made larger in anticipation of them actually being powerful and useful units?

and i know i'm not the only one to think this http://mwomercs.com/...age__mode__show

322 people voted no.

But thanks to the mass cleansing of the forums i really can't find much more than that, let alone any reasoning behind it, or answers from PGI.

Any time I've seen them respond to someone asking why something looks the way it does, the answer is always in the vein of 'artistic choices'. Basically, they felt that the design we end up with suits the look and feel they were going for.

From memory it was to prevent Light and Medium mechs being too hard to hit. Of course HSR has now thrown that out the window.

Rescaling would require time, money and would divert work off from other features. It still needs to be done though.

PGI's answer has always been the same: that it takes too much time to rescale mechs.

though i don't see them making an effort to scale mechs correctly the first time (quickdraw)

yeah that's just it. why do they KEEP making the scaling all wonky?

I'm not /just/ talking about the quick draw, if you actually read, i was looking more for any sort of PGI address to this issue since the OLD topics about it are so hard to find thanks to the great cleansing.

But i guess some people just have to try and be {Richard Cameron}.

its ironic that you criticize him for not reading, when you didnt even read that poll yourself. which actually strongly favors your argument. Meaning that he did read your post

hint: its not just about the quickdraw

when did i say that poll did not strongly favor my argument? It is already known that a huge chunk of people think the same thing. I'm new, i'm wondering if there has been or perhaps will be any real word on the matter.
