I am glad they had time for that. Not any of the major issues with the game. I am glad that man hours were spent on this.

if they are simulating physics what about a speed up for going down a slope.

doesn't make sense to have one without the other

This will dramatically change how some of the maps are played.

I like it.

so lets bandaid terrible balance by making hill humping take longer!

Then lets actually not make the best mech, the worst climber!

I like it

the radio tower on forest will be jumpjets only as well as many other places. Gives JJs a better meaning.

also means no easy way going upper city for the right spawn point anymore except the BRIDGE. This will change river city gameplay completely.

Its a step in the right direction for sure but, I want to see them add in moving threw trees & water cutting down your movement speed too. (i.e. the deeper the water the slower you move based on your mechs size) Tree should slow your movement down also based on your mechs size.

Actually, this bit right here is quite telling:

Quote

Medium: Blackjack, Centurion, Dragon, JagerMech, Trebuchet, Cataphract, Hunchback
SlowdownAngle: 30°

So a 70 ton mech and a 45 ton mech are considered mobility equivalents? IMO: This sort of explains quite a bit about why mediums are in the state they are in.

Silly Assaults. Those inclines are for lights.

There are a lot of issues where this comment would be fitting, but this isn't one of them. This is a good change that will impact gameplay positively. I'm glad they are spending time on this, and I hope we get more changes to physics (like this one but opposite for declines) in the near future.

I don't mind this, but it's gonna be a learning curve for a bit!

I'm actually quite stoked about this.

Hmm, except:

Medium: Cataphract
SlowdownAngle: 30°

Large: Quickdraw
SlowdownAngle: 25°

That's just mean.

Nice...anything that adds to the "realism" of it, I'm down for.

yeah they've managed to keep a lot of things hush hush. And this is coming next patch. I'm less skeptical they will make the release deadline now.

Not gonna lie, this is pretty exciting.

*THIS* will go a long way towards making the maneuverability of lights and mediums (and more importantly Jumpjets) much more apparent and necessary.

Kudos PGI.
