and i wonder if that is intended.
that lights or mechs with a rather small amount of weapon hardpoints can have both upgrades and still have their favorite weapon loadout, while even some 50 tonners can not do it. i doubt that an atlas can even have one of the upgrades in and still enough slots for sufficient weaponry.
i see the tradeoff in XL engines (6 more slots and higher vulnerability against lower weight) but it feels off for the structure and armor upgrades.
I mean if it's the point to decide between slots for weapons/heatsinks or those 2 upgrades so be it.... but still.
i guess its due to the fact that bigger mechs dont get more slots. and i can see the point in that as well. arms with lower actuators should not carry AC20s and legs should not fit double heat sinks.
but i feel i should not be forced to give up firepower to give my assault mech the superior, and in itself lighter, armor plating.
