Seems adding the Quickdraw to the mechlab,
when i go to buy a mech, all the heavies are now in "random" listings...

Dragon -1C
Quickdraw -5K
Dragon- 1N
Dragon- 5N
Quickdraw- 4G
Quickdraw- 4H
Jagermech -DD
CAtapult- A1

etc...

can this be corrected to have all chassis grouped up together like before?

Yar, this thing be too large a target for its armor.

Maybe shrink it's in-game size a tad.

They look about right size wise. The thing we have to remember is the 100 tons of an atlas is volume going down to a 60 ton wouldn't make it tremendously smaller. The current lights are actually way to small

QKD-5K is simply a disappointment. Too big and either too slow or too harmless. A pass option during XP grind for those 3xSRM variants.

so I have a question....

First, I've had fun in the couple of matches that I've played with the G model, running lrm20 and 4mlas... gonna change that, but for now, ehh... that is what it is, anyway...

what the $%^& is with not being able to paint its feet? QuickDraw McGraw needs some new boots guys!!

and why is there now a bunch of smoke n stuff all over the mechbays in the mechlab?

It's fun (ish) to play, fast with a XL but overall it sucks. Too big for it's weight and easy to kill.
Played it for 10-20 matchs and sold it. No thanks.

p.s your matchmaker couldn't match a pair of cards, let alone a game.

Jumpjet-animation is missing... why did no one recognize this?

Hitboxes are screwy. Took 4 PPCs to the front and got cored out in the back plus a bit of internal dmg. I headshotted a Quick draw while it was running away from me. I was getting hit with LRMs without AMS and got hit in the legs only

I came in here to post this, other then that I like it. My favorite mech is the CN9 AL, but I can see QD taking over the number 1 spot in my mech bay. It does seem a little too tall though from the cockpit view, but when I see other Quickdraws in game they look fine compared to everything else. All in all I have no regrets getting this mech.

Ummm... it's a bit big frankly. Granted it's not all CT like the Dragon but y'all really need to do a rescaling pass..

it is an interesting opposition for the dragon from what i can tell at this point... jumpcapable, nice hardpoint distribution, while the dragon seems to have a slight advantage with mobility and the ability to carry lowheat pinpoint weapons...

i needed a few matches to get familiar with the Quicky, and i honestly can´t wait to get the elite skills done... but after that, i actually might have some fun with it...

Why does the 5K have Ferro-Fibrous, but not Endo-Steel?
Who decided that was a good idea, when ES is superior in every way?

Whoever originally designed it for the tabletop game and wrote it down in the book over 20 years ago.

As far as heavies go so far it isn't anything special. The only really unique thing about it is it's total jumping height. Which is significant.

Edit:
I figured I would update this after playing with and against them. Honestly the reason you added the Quickdraw over the Orion irked me. You said "because it adds more to the meta at this point then the Orion does" but so far that isn't the case. Most matches I see Quickdraws in are playing the exact same meta we have now.

So after playing with them for awhile all I have to say is this:

Should've gone with the Orion.

legged. always legged. big *** legs on this puppy.full armour and still legged. i'd tell you the stats but that is not reporting on the site yet.
it is a hoot to pilot, jump jets are really responsive and quick, still trying to find the right load out but so far 2 erppcs and 2 mls and 2 ssrms isn't it. (4G).
great work folks!
oh ya, very pretty in buccaneer paint. :)

Mobility is what this Mech provides in the Heavy class. Both speed and jump jets make it the most agile in it's class. If you enjoyed the speed of the Dragon, you might enjoy this too.

The 5K is respectable. As with any laser-oriented mech you need to balance the heat well and control yourself. Alpha, Alpha, Alpha will not work here.

The jump jets are indeed quite responsive and I've performed several mid-air turns while shooting. I put 2 LL, 4 ML, 4 JJ and a 300XL in this thing (with full armor) and I've had a lot of fun.

Cockpit seems too high. If I stand next to an awesome, I am taller than it. That doesn't seem right. :) :(

As for the missile variants, that is a tougher choice. It only has 10 tubes in that left torso for LRMs, which is precisely the same amount the Dragon has. But, it doesn't have them in the center torso so you CAN put an LRM20 in there. Just don't expect it to come out all at once.

Has anyone tried the 7 JJ's on the G model? Just 4 JJ's seems pretty good.
