They obviously do not test anything for playability / balance.
LRMs wouldn't have been incredibly broken, all these different times, and still pushed to the live/public game and left that way for multiple days, if PGI actually had the Q/A in place to test anything for how it plays.

It's not undermining them. They have set up these imaginary rules that they can't do exactly what you are doing. If they want to be competitive they need to get with the meta! It's their own fault for not playing to win.
Exactly this is why http://www.usatoday....doping/2471413/ should be reinstated with full honors. Ya gotta get with the META!!!

Sniping and doping. It's the only way to win (unless it's explicitly stated in the rules you're not allowed to).
My entire point being that we really need to get some good game balance because the play to win folk are an incredibly dull and boring lot. They favor winning and playing the same mech over and over again rather than using other mechs or load outs that are more interesting. If the EULA didn't explicitly state you can't use aim bot programs they would just so they could win than they would find a better game because they are being "forced" to use aim bots to stay competitive.

Using an AS7-D-DC, the ultimate brawler, and getting shredded over and over by long-range opponents who you can't even approach or damage, let alone, defeat and help your team to victory.

Which is exactly why we need some major game balance adjustments.

As for PGI thinking PPC/range fighting is boring, all of their videos have been in brawling situations. No wonder they doubled the armor

As for lasers, when they hit from my stats, (er)large lasers are averaging about 5 dmg, medium lasers around 2.5 dmg. That is more likely spread across several armor locations, whereas gauss/er-ppcs are delivering all of their damage to one spot.
And I am starting to really hate those cicadas with ECM and twin PPCs.

Be honest though. Watching a video of mechs sniping from 1000m is dull as a sack of doorknobs. Doesn't make for good advertising.

Beta excuse does not work when it's not really a beta...
It's simply a lie of a term used on us to help calm the masses. The reality is that it stoped being beta when their full Free to Play method came online shortly after founders joined the scene.. It's an unfinished product that they are marketing, not a beta...
Oh yeah, if it was a beta, now would be the time to complain/suggest anyway...
So yeah, you're 0 for 2 on that post bud.

They are a boring lot because they have different values to you, sure.
And I suppose saying people better than you at aiming use aim bots, is a compliment.

Definition of beta has changed over the years for better or worse, especially for a f2p game. The main point to take home is the game isn't done yet, don't be impatient. Taking out the word beta doesn't change that fact.
