I discovered this game this week, and I REALLY like it. Too many gamers do nothing but complain. I do however have a few opinions on what I would like to see before release. In my opinion the Heat Vision, and the Night Vision are not good at all. On one hand, I understand that if the Heat Vision worked extremely well, it would be overpowered, and used 100% of the time, but the current state is just sad. By the way, I am no scientist, but isn't "night" vision and "heat" vision the same thing? An infrared camera? The other thing I want to see, like MANY people, would be destructible terrain. I'm honestly amazed it was not part of the plan from day 1. it is 2013, and I hate to be another complainer, but running directly through terrain feels so 90s.

Glad you like the game: as do I. The older version of heat imagery was too powerful and was changed. As an aside: Night vision relies on amplifying/seeing light on the infra-red spectrum; whereas, Heat vision picks up varients in temprature.

What Charles said.
Terrain... well, I agree. The dev team stated the terrain props (cars, lantern posts, trees, civilian meat shields etc.) will be destructible. Not the buildings and structures, since solid and reliable cover is very important considered the sluggish behaviour of most mechs. Besides, the building structures on RS (just as an example are truly gargantuan) so if the citadel or the spaceport are destroyed, a lot of calculations have to be put into this, which would just drain on your machine's ressources and decrease performance.
