JM6-A
Stnd 300 - 74.7 KPH
Endo
AMS-1 ton ammo
15 Stnd heatsinks (gasp) ((1.36 Eff. = do not need to spend 1.5 mil))
4 - SRM6 - 6 tons ammo
I thought i was going to buy the Jager - A to boat streaks, but to my surprise, running around in this guy is so much ******* fun. It's great for brawling and close range engagements only though as you could probably already tell. Add an XL 300 or something like that for some long range firepower...perhaps an ER LL. My favorite tactic is to gain the high ground on the enemy and rain hellfire down due to my missle hardpoints on my very flexible arms hehe. I've yeilded surprisingly high damage rounds with this mech, and when played right, can be a blast.

No DHS, no backup lasers.
I sense much newb in this one.

FYI, you always want DHS. Always. Let's look at your build here for a second:
Build 1 [JM6-A]: 4xSRM6, AMS, 300STD, Endo
You have 15 effective head sinks, and are using 5 over the base 10 that come with any 250 rated engine or above.
Now compare to DHS:
Build 2 [JM6-A]: 4xSRM6, AMS, 300STD, DHS, Endo
By just having DHS and the base engine without any heatsinks added, you have 5 more effective heatsinks than you did before. And you now have 5 more tons to play with. Because of that, we can do some cool things like this:
Build 3 [JM6-A]: 4xSRM6, AMS, 315STD, DHS, Endo, Ferro
You now go much faster, and have better heat management. I also tossed on Ferro on so you could nearly max out your armor, but even without Ferro you still wind up with:
Build 4 [JM6-A]: 4xSRM6, AMS, 315STD, DHS, Endo
Which gives you 6 more effective heat sinks, more armor, and a faster engine. But that doesn't address some of the other issues with your build. As somene stated earlier, you have no backup weapons. With only missile launchers (and only weapons in the arms) you are running a high risk of leaving yourself open to ammo issues, or worse, getting dearmed early on and being useless.
So lets see what we can do about that. First off, you have two perfectly good energy hardpoints in your torso. You should take advantage of them! Since we're looking at rounding this build out a little, we'll drop back down to your original plan of a 300 STD. You will still have a nice solid balance of speed, and you aren't losing any heat sink capacity from jumping down from the 315 rating to the 300. That allows us to drop in two Medium Lasers as backup weapons, giving us:
Build 5 [JM6-A]: 4xSRM6, AMS, 2xMLAS, 300STD, DHS, Endo
I also dropped the leg armor a few more points to allow for another Double Heat Sink. That brings your effective heatsinks up to 24.2, giving you 61% more heat dissipation and a 20% increase in heat capacity over single heat sinks like you had originally chosen, while winding up with a much better balanced build overall.
Edit: And if you want to be able to fire basically forever, think about dropping two tons of ammo for even more heat dissipation:
Build 6 [JM6-A]: 4xSRM6, AMS, 2xMLAS, 300STD, DHS, Endo
