Every time, I tell it to keep me logged in. Every time, I have to log in again. Not really a big deal, but annoying.
[MWO Site] Can you please make the login cookies persist?

There is a very deep and involving thread about this in the aptly named Website Support section of the forum.

We already do have cookies. If they are for some reason failing to work, it would probably be helpful to try to find and report which conditions under which they fail so the problem can be found and fixed. I have not recently noticed it failing, for me at least.
...unless "failure" includes behaving exactly as explicitly advertised:(from the locked thread, which is stickied at the top of the "website support" subforum)

What the system won't do:
Log you in automatically.
Keep you logged in if you close all tabs/windows from mwomercs.com.
Keep you logged in if you close your browser.

Yeah, I saw that, and I know, but I dislike said functionality. I can't keep an MWO tab open all the time at work!

Okay, it looks like I can in fact lose my authentication without doing either of those things listed, so there may actually be an interpretation of what "every time" that makes sense. If I can figure out exactly how I break it, I will report back here so the rest of you can know how to avoid the problem. ...and maybe an admin can fix it.
If it helps, the functionality is probably for the purpose of security. Since our logins here might be tied to the game login, I don't mind the inconvenience... I just hope security is better than the general derpiness of the forum functionality here suggests. :_
