I greatly enjoy my games and have around 50/50 W/L and PUG more often than not. My damage varies with occsionally going below 100 but usually I excede 200 and regularly get 400-500. My ELO is quite enjoyable to me with lots of close matches and a consistent W/L rate.

There's another oddity we (me and the ones I regularly drop with) found. When we drop as a duo (2-man), the games are okay. They are often very balanced, sometimes after several matches we won by 60%, sometimes we lost by 60%. Add just one additional player and it's getting much harder. 75% games lost at least. Drop with 4...disaster!
I know what the problem is though. While we might be competent, having played for a long time and each having a k/d of above 2.x, we do not play professionally. We usually don't call targets and don't always stick that closely together. Our mechs are also not built to form a true unit. Some prefer assaults, some mediums, some lights. And only a few of us follow the current meta (which at the time of this post are ppcs). We do organize and call larger enemy groups and also call for help but that's about it.
My conclusion was that ELO is added or even multiplied when playing as a premade and that you better go pro or go home when you want to play with friends. ^^
This is my exact same experience. I drop with a group of 2-4 different players regularly in US central after 8pm. We are a casual group of decent players and I usually do pretty well dealing out pain, but I LOOSE alot. And when my teammates run with me, we LOOSE alot. More often than not when we look at the other lance, add there damage output, and compare it to ours...sometimes it less than our the scores of our top guys...individually.
I don't get overly concerned with loses...casual gamer...but this seems counter to what elo claims to be doing.
Before you say groups throw off the averages. When I pug I do pretty well...top 3 damage dealer...and continue my loosing ways. And don't get me started on drop weight issue...jeez.

I am flattered that the MM constantly pits me against 4 and 8 man PPC boating groups, but I always solo-drop and wish to face solo-droppers.
That should be addressed.
