Firstly, hello to everyone. Signed up today after a friend in an IRC chat was looking for more people that played MWO, and instantly remembered playing the 90's game as a kid. Anyways, onto the problem.

I installed the game just fine. When I go to run the client, however, I get this message box that says:

"There was an error while connecting:
Unable to connect to the remote server"

I've browsed the forums a bit, turned off antivirus and firewall, and reset my Internet Explorer settings (which I find odd that it worked for some people anyways), but I still get this message. Any help with this would be much appreciated.

I'm currently running an Intel i5 3.4GHz processor, 8GB RAM, and using Windows 7 Professional 64-bit.

Figured out my problem - I was running AVG Antivirus and it was actually blocking me from playing any online game. Nuked it and we're patching. Carry on.
