Are we all running Pentium 4s? Are the servers maxed out?

Well, this is a F2P game, so you can expect a large amount of players with rather... inadequate computers. They turned down the graphics a lot and I seem to be getting worse FPS during patches where they supposedly optimize for low end computers.

FYI, I run a i7-3770 with a HD7870 2 GB. I have 8GB of 1600Mhz RAM

The servers are most likely maxed out in terms of bandwidth and processing power. PGI probably cannot fix this as they might not have the budget. (Judging by how desperate they are with Project Phoenix and 'release'.)

It's all speculation, of course, but when fundamental game mechanics are crippled by an extremely low graphics and processing budget... oh dear. :D

Candidate slogan for PGI: "Excellence is something we'll think about."

the fact is, if it wasnt for flying
debris.. there would be almost nothing about this game that is good.

I have very little confidence at this point that this game will be anything other than mediocre.

So sick of the endless stream of useless cockpit ****

God help this game when star citizen finally drops..

to think they had the gall to push out mwll. amazing

Well, you've got most of the core MW rules running in an engine that wasn't created with this kind of game in mind. You've got a MW game. It mostly works apart from (serious) hit detection problems and HSR+ping jitter and netcode, terrain navigation and movement, sound (clipping), weapon balance, missile physics, terrain graphics (texture tiling), module balance and economics, pilot/mech efficiency trees, team communication, in-game graphics and awful matchmaking algorithm. Apart from that, it's all good!

I wonder if this game will even match up to MW4: Mercs once it gets 'released'...
