To me the Victor looks like a copy of the Centurion and a lazy one at that. It looks like a Centurion mated with a Quickdraw. I dont like the angular look the new theme of art its a trend lately, everyone has to have angular motif. I like the curves of the Marauder and would not like it if they made the cockpit look like a catapult with long arms. I can only imagine what angular monstrosity the Timber Wolf will be.

The Timberwolf won't be hard to do, already got the Cat and Stalker nose to work with.

yeah all the macross ones are off the table.

that means archer, marauder etc etc

Which is unfortunate as the one popular fire support lance is the Centurion, Trebuchet, Archer.

Forgive me for not being a longtime BattleTech fan (my only experience prior to MWO is MechAssault 1& 2), but is there a possibility of seeing the Madcat, Thor, or Uziel mechs? Those were pretty good in the MechAssault games......

Harmony Gold doesn't even license any anime these days. It just looks like all they do is sitting around and suing anybody whom they consider to be breaching their ancient licenses. How does such a company stay afloat?

Aye, a real shame. The shimmering sword artwork for the Archer looks fantastic and wouldn't be out of place in this game.

They're coming with the clan invasions. In fact the Madcat is the first heavy clan planned.

Actually I think Robotech is pretty big. I don't know much about the fanbase but from what I've seen it's probably just as big if not bigger than BT. I mean those mecha anime models have been around for ages and there are some real collectors out there.

Also there's a Robotech game on Kickstarter - so I'd say they're probably active. I'd say much more active than what BT has been for the past ten years.

YES!

[strikethrough]Also I've learned a bit about the weapons and mechs from other fourm topics since that post.I'm assuming the "Warhammer" misslie is just something that was made for the console style games. Or am I wrong, and there really a type of missle that sticks and detonates for heavy damage after a delay in canon BT lore?[/strikethrough]

Better yet, I make a thread for that, instead of potentially deraiing this one.

These won't be a problem. It should be noted the Uziel actually first appeared originally for the computer games (Mechwarrior 4, Mechassault), then rolled into canon TROs.

Yeah, Robotech has a bit of a fanbase as well, and those of us who are part of it hate Harmony Gold possibly more than all the BT fans.
There's been plenty of great Macross stuff that hasn't ever left Japan due to Harmony Gold...

The Warhammer and the Marauder were in Mechwarrior 2, though. How come they can't be in MWO?
