No one can dispute that.

I have an idea...
Let'S just replace the PPC and the LPL stats and vice versa! You don't eve have to change the color!
This way, we've solved the problem of PPC stalkers overnight, and LPLs are useful again!

much easier game to learn if everyone is using 1 mech and only 1 weapon type...

Personally I LOVE the new damage numbers from the LPL, and hope to see them up there damage in total, and quicken the damage dealt. Heat (as always) should be the drawback factor of ANY energy weapon, its what keeps them in check vs the other types. Normal PPC needs to go back to its 9 heat and the ER back to its 13. Then the LPL will look quite enticing, and the PPC OMG YOUR A NOOB Apocalypse can come to an end.

Well, at least LPLs would actually be boated properly.

Why? It got a miniscule damage increase and a not-as-miniscule heat increase, taking away its status as the dmg/heat leader among energy-weapons.
The LPL change was stupid. I'll read your reasoning for why you disagree, but in the context of all the other weapons having many advantages over it, I don't see why you would want to use an LPL on any build.

Maybe he means DMG is ok, but heat far to high.
Like 7.3 Heat with 10.6 dmg.

Let me elaborate on WolvesX's post.
PGI doesn't even understand which weapons are good and which aren't. If the Machine Gun issue didn't demonstrate that clearly, the LPL adjustment certainly does. They do not know why good players find themselves forced into PPC/Gauss builds and away from anything resembling a short-range, brawler build.
They don't understand that the data they are getting from all weapons, except PPC/Gauss, is bad.
Bad data is worse than no data at all. It can either be discarded entirely, or it can be used to draw incorrect conclusions. PGI continues to draw incorrect conclusions about game-play.
There can be no reason why they adjusted LPL, other than their ignorance.

And importantly, they refuse the help of the people who could help them, pretty much. It's a vicious circle.
