Greetings MechWarriors!

This was going to be a screenshot post, but we've had a ton of requests for the new Phoenix Mechs images, and so while this isn't a screenshot, we hope you'll still enjoy it. We will add the others as they're ready, but for now, here's your Locust!

Thanks for all your requests everyone, and we hope you like the art! We can't wait to see what inventive paintjobs you guys draw over it!

If you have requests for future shots (we're bringing the Shadow Hawk, Thunderbolt, and Battlemaster art up soon, no worries), let us know!

This is much higher resolution. Will be good enough for repaints!
(And the legs aren't all blacked out.)

This one is in the original size and doens't have that shading effect on it's feet.

You are right it doesn't serve an informative purpose, but it's required for the repainters.

You know, I really hate to belittle good artwork. Cause this is good, but I've got issues with it. The problem I'm having with this take on the appearance for a Locust, is it didn't make me go "O HEY! It's a Locust!". Instead, it made me go "O HEY! It's a Jenner II-C!". I know the Phoenix Locust can't look like a Locust (or at least can't look enough like one that Harmony Gold, or whoever owns them takes notice), but c'mon... you had to have better idears than just robbing the lines from a Jenny II-C and calling it a Locust. Just because liquid is dripping on me and I'm getting wet, don't mean It's raining.

Hmm actually now that you mention it it could pass as a mutant marauder, remove the nose turet give it actual arms and turn that silver circle thing between the radar dish and cockpit into a AC5 and bam.

it does look a bit similar actually lol.

The Locust art also share a similar cockpit design with the flea


But i tell myself that its the most space efficient design for a small tonnage mech.


Though I do think its probably the best looking light mech design we have to date. Not very locust like but a very good looking mech
