I quote;
Science and technology
BattleTech is largely based in hard science fiction concepts—much of technology used is either similar in advancement to that of the present day, or based on technology considered plausible in the near-future, such as the railgun. A handful of exceptions, notably faster-than-light interstellar travel and superluminal communication, depend on purely fictional or speculative principles.
BTW Melissa Gaussrifles are not railguns, Sarna is quite specific about that, they are coilguns (AKA Gauss guns)
Introduced in 2590 by the Terran Hegemony[4], the Gauss Rifle utilizes a series of electromagnets to propel slugs of ferrous nickel-iron alloy at extremely high velocities[5], making it a devastating and lethal long-range weapon. Unlike most traditional ballistic weapons, the Gauss Rifle does not use combustible propellant, so its firing generates very little heat. However, the sheer mass and bulk of the weapon limits its applications.

I saw multi missile launchers mentioned earlier, and had to ask:
Am I the only one who's taken MML-9s with Artemis IV, but only carried Artemis SRMs and Inferno SRMs for the hilariously ridiculous short range abilities?

I, too, would like to see the MML, especially to see how they implement it. I also want to see how they do the C3 systems, although if the devs hold to the timeline, we should see those in the next year.
