I would highly suggest taking 3 tons of gauss ammo.
Aside of that, some things you might want to consider:
1) You can use a XL engine on the highlander without much drawbacks. Side torsos are small, and you will die to CT cores most of the time.
2) In the current meta, PPCS are somewhat superior to large lasers because of their instant pinpoint damage. If you want a good longerange build, PPCs will probably serve you better than lasers because you will spread less of your damage.
3) I wouldn't use only 1 streak srm. You have to load 1 ton of ammo, which is much more than you will use up with a single streak launcher. (considering its role as backup weapon)
4) If you use streaks you should consider putting a BAP into your mech, which cancels the ECM effect within 150m.
Here is what i am using on my 732:

- 325xl because i like to go maxspeed (and it lets me put 3 heatsinkis in the engine which solves crit space issues)
- 3JJ for decent jump ability
- 2 PPCs and the Gauss give you a good long range punch
- 3 ssrm2 give you a nice backup if you are forced into close range combat (and they are awesome against light mechs)
I feel like 1 ton of ssrm ammo is enough to serve as a backup weapon (16 shots of all 3 launchers), but you could drop the leg armor or get rid of 1 heatsink to take another ton.
