Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, I believe we may be fighting a desperate war soon.

HOW IT WILL HAPPEN.

Day 0: It begins
PGI releases the Phoenix Project content, and since CW is in, so MWO gets all the whiners back, as well. All appears good, as MWO is running smoothly.

But then, people notice something weird. The enemy drops 2 short from the 12 man company. This happens with every game played.

Then, it begins. The Forums are locked, save for one board.
"PROBLEM, CuSTOMERS?"

IS MechWarriors are pitted against Mechs never seen in concept art, however any veteran will both **** themselves and insta-***** when the following targeting data appears.

One Mech will have, depending on who targets, either Marauder MAD-3R, others a Catapult CPLT-C1
The rest will show up as Unknown.

No Mech can withstand these invaders' onslaught. AC/40 Jagers are eviscerated by enemy Hunchback like mechs, PPC-boats are annihilated by these Marauder/Catapult super-mechs.

Threads explode like wildfire about these unknown Mechs.

DAY 1: Valiant Defense

In response, people flock to TS to co-ordinate like never before. Old, min/max builds are obsoleted, and replaced with more viable and tactically-flexible builds. With all this co-ordination, some victories are won against the now-confirmed Clans. However, casualties are high.

DAY 3: Retaliation

With victories being won against the enemy, PGI and co finally release these rare OmniMechs. Armed with near-even tech, the counterattack begins. It will be a bloody war, where stats are sent to Hell and gone.

But wait, how did they fit these mechs in?

Clearly, they have been sneaking them in bit-by-bit. PGI has already demonstrated a remarkable ability to only reveal info when they want it to (PP for instance) So chances are high such a devious plan is in motion already!

Okay, but where did they get the members from?

Given the fact that an a--load of Founder's packs are shipped in, every member is made to complete an NDA on the event. That, and excessive wordfilters are put in.

That, or they hire Chinese gold farmers or something.

Okay, okay, I get how, when and where. but WHY?

Simple. They want to send a message
Just cause they won't talk about it, doesn't mean it's happening.

Or paul will dangle Madcats in our faces and go 'YOU STILL WONT GET THEM!' until they become available

But wait, How will OmniMechs be balanced?

Simple. They will have a fixed tonnage per mech. That and a whole lead have XL engines. Plenty 'o' Side Torso poppin action!

I will post this, then deal with some guys with a van outside. They seem to wanna talk about something I said over the Internet.

He's likely referring to how OmniMechs in BT canon have all of their core components locked down (e.g. one cannot change the internal structure type, engine rating or type, armor type or amounts, and so on - not without losing the OmniMech abilities), which gives each OmniMech a fixed amount of both tonnage and volume (that is, critical spaces) as "pod space".

If it happened that way... I think I'd do the following. "Welp Having a shadow hawk was fun for 30 seconds, now i'm gonna get rofl stomped. Thanks PGI I spent 60 for a s-hawk and t-bolt only to have a Thor rip me in half."

But then we can FIGHT back!

Oh, and those guys in the van are watching me intently now. They are wearing bulls skull masks.

Should I be worried?

If you hear knocking and someone saying "candygram", do not answer the door.

Would be fun to have a "dynamic" element for the Clan invasion, but like I said in another thread, I mostly think they'll be introduced in a Clan Package (like Founder's and Project Phoenix).

I'm not sure if you are complaining or describing the most awesome clan mech introduction possible.

Not complaining, oh no. I shall relish the opportunity to stride the battlefield in my mighty FreshMaster, fighting the Clanners on the field of honor.
