Until the Targeting Bones on mech can be fix and LRM lock-on to Different parts of the mechs. I think a Min-Distant between missiles should be increased to 0.75 to 2m. This would make those massive waves of missile to become less effective but would only minority Effect the smaller single salvo missile mechs.

The targeting bones is not going to change the LRM damage. Remember its SPLASH that does the bulk of the damage.
If anything, they need to make the LRM swarm target a random armor section on the enemy mech and use that as a 'centerpoint' for the missiles to home in. This will make CT not take as much damage on average. TAG and NARC would re-focus the centerpoint into the center of the enemy mech.
Artemis should be changed. Currently it narrows down missile spreads..which is really just another problem with the CT-focusing damage. The Artemis system increases ACCURACY (as per Sarna) by 35%. There are other ways to improve accuracy without making it enhance the damage output of the launcher.
For example:
- Improved missile speed: Up missile speed by 35% and that can translate into 35% improved accuracy since the target has less chance to dodge or get into cover.
- Improved Homing capability: SRMs would retain the current narrower flight spread (since they are non-homing) and LRMs would have 3 seconds post-LOS loss where the lock is retained. This stacks with the target delay module.
...or my favorites:
- Tie the LRM guidance to the current locked target. Aka, the missile mech loses lock on target while missiles in flight..it locks a different mech..LRM's swerve to hit the new target. This also works with dumb-fired LRMs..a lock when LRM's in the air will swerve them to target.
- Toggle: Wire-Guided / Homing Lock . A toggle would have homing lock be the LRM being fired like current non-artemis missiles do... they home in on locked target only. Wire Guidance will allow the missiles to be fire with no lock and will home in on whatever the mech is aiming at.

The Bone Targeting is a Known Bug right now due to the fact it is currently targeting the Connection point between the CT between the out bones. So all the 90-95% are hit the CT if you happen to be anywhere near facing the enemy.
