I'm so far just a free-bee player. As I understand, If I want to get my mech (Stalker) all set up, I need to buy two other types of the same. Then I can unlock more skills. Now assume for the time I only have my four mechbays. Does this allow me to get my Stalker all maxed out? Then also, I understand I could sell two of the Stalkers, and maintain the pimped out one? Thus giving me 3 bays, to max a second mech? In the end, If I am correct, I could have 2 mechs mastered, before I decide to plop any cash into the game, just using 4 bays.

you could master them all... just delete your mechs. then... when youre finished you can hold your favorite 4 at one time.

Yes.

Mechbays are relatively cheap so if/when you do decide to put money into the game, it would be worth buying them if nothing else.

Also, as Wilklaus put it, you could sell your finished ones and buy them back, still everything unlocked, at a later date. Of course this would be very very inefficient time-wise thus the reason for spending a few bucks on bays. Also, you might like to keep 2 or more variants of the same chassis.

  • Yes. Upgrading 3 stalker variants mechs to full basic and then 3 assaults to full elite allows you to max the stalker out.
  • Yes, you can then sell the two you do not want.
  • Yes.
To understand the unlock process even better, please refer to this thread. It should jump you directly to the third post. If not, please go to post #3 (it has the pictures) and read away.
