I heard there was a whole new skill tree coming soon. Does anyone think they know what might be in it? Just curious.
Also, are they going to change the Master skill? One more module slot for me is pointless because modules are too expensive so I have 0 of them.

You can read it in upcoming content tracker, but no further information about it.

Pilot and Mech skill tree Overhaul as part of UI 2.0
Certainly interesting. It might be their chance to try and find their old notes on Role based skill trees.

I hope they implement this soon before I decide to convert my leftover mech XP from my founder's Atlas and insta-master every other chassis in the game.

This is the last definitive statement I've seen on this:
They also mentioned that they will be adding in something called Epic's in another post, which some believe will be a new skill level beyond Master level... but thats pure speculation. It could very well be another type of hero mech, or something else entirely.

Q: I think I saw somewhere that the pilot tree may be expanded/changed sometime before launch. Will this have any affect on the skills we have already unlocked? I assume that the current skills will still be in there, but will they be changed in any way and will it change how one gets elite and master levels?
A: If we make changes, and they would have to be dramatic, we would refund all of the XP spent and allow you to respect as necessary. There are currently no plans to blow up the existing Basic/Elite/Master structure, rather we are looking to expand the efficiencies into other categories such as weapons.

You might want to hang on to some of that. Not long ago there was mention of adding another tier beyond "Master," which if you think about it is sort of inevitable in a way.

That would make sense, just slap one more "master" skill option other than module slot (maybe related to CW) and throw in the Epic level above master.

But "Weapon efficiencies". Efficiencies means mech skill trees.
Meaning Awesomes with -1 heat for PPCs in the elite tier could happen.

Clan tech will require GXP. (Purely unfounded speculation)
