I don't think your proposed solution is a bad idea. My position on the matter is that whatever happens to balance, those on top will always be on top. Period. I hope the game doesn't fail. If it does, I'm not going to die inside.

Joker is humble my brothers and sisters! For he and I conquered the Battlefield with the Throbbers and laid waste to scrubs. We farmed them! Many pilots will blame anything whatsoever, even their sucky team (which interestingly enough is comprised in part by him) rather than accepting, understanding, and then doing something a little different. So many common pilots blame something else so they don't have to adapt. The dinosaurs were like that and eventually changed as well. Some few became birds on the wing, but more commonly into stone fossils. Adapt, no matter what you K/D becomes doing it.
