Ok, so here is my raven-4x build. Just wanted to share after my first time successfully disarming a mech completely without killing it.

I've been having so much fun with this load out, the LL will quickly strip armor while the machine guns are actually good at criting the internals. It good against almost any mechs except any that are lighter.
Let me know what you think!!!

All lights need maximum leg armor, especially Ravens due to their gigantic chicken legs.
You can get the tonnage you need for this by removing 1 JJ (and shave one armor point off of the right arm for the legs).

well, I've been using this for a few days now, so maybe around 40 -50 games. I've only been legged at most 3-4 times. this isn't really a run-around-like-a-spider mech. More like a stay in a group and flank them tactic. The LL also lets you fight longer ranged battles with bigger mechs and in these fights they usually won't hit your legs.

I would outright just dump the MG and just max the armor and add 1 more DHS.

I'm on the fence with LLasers on a Light (at least more than 1 LLaser anyway). I have a Raven with 2 LLasers and 2MLasers. The heat disipation of a light is kinda ehh, so although it seems to work well initially, it just seems like the mech won't bleed the heat off (especially in the hotter maps).

since it's just the large laser, I don't really get a problem with heat much. You can keep up a pretty good rate of fire.

Slow lights are top on my lrm target list, in pugs at least, but will never see that in a 8 man.
