They said that 1 day equals one day in game. Too much happened in those 10 years if you take int account the fact, that the game starts in 3049 and by 3090, all major events were done and there's no more story (some characters and actions, but nothing worthwile).

so i wonder how travel to planets will work if it normaly took a week for jump ships to recharge. especialy if we want to attack a planet 6 jumps away that 6 weeks charge and what the 3 to 4 days travel time down to the planet from the jump ship. I wonder how they are going to cover all that? Just wondering

Canon helps us out some there.

There are jump charge stations which are effectively just stations which do nothing but collect solar energy 24/7 and then sell the stored charge to jumpships who wish to travel a bit faster. It can significantly shorten the jump charge time. Also keep in mind that the charge time also depends on the star with some brighter stars charging jumpships faster. Finally it is possible to set up a kind of ferry system where you have a chain of jumpships allowing you to more quickly shift from one side of a nation to another.

These typically won't let you jump in the same day because it does strain onboard systems/crew and they need to be checked out between jumps, but they can shorten things down to say a 3 or so days instead of the normal week between jumps.

That said, I expect transit time will largely be hand waved in MWO.
