You have just pointed out that 12v12 is the solution to Jagerbombs and LRM spam.

No the Pilots still need to rework their Loadouts. Looking forward for crying AC20 Jaeger Kiddies without Ammo after half of the Game

Putting my hat in the disagree ring. As poster above said people will either have to build a more balanced mech or be more conservative with their ammo.

You dont need more ammo in any way...
Why?
Well sure there are 4 more enemy mechs that needs shooting at, buuuut you also have 4 more friendlies who can help with that.
You were never supposed to be ¨Rambo Mac Mech¨ and take on the entire enemy team by yourself.
To be honest I even hope that we will eventually get to see more than 12v12 just to make it even less likely that one or two people can carry an entire fight.
Plus the ammo ¨problems¨ you seem to point out will make energy weapons more liked which is a great thing since that will make heat matter alot more in this game.

Why do people think this will be the case? Yes, there are 4 more mech's on the enemy team... but there are 4 more on you're team as well, who should be contributing to total team damage.
Of course, like now, if 4 players on you're team manage to score sub-100 damage, and you're running a very ammo dependent build, then yes, you might be in trouble.
In any case, do we really need a preemptive "report" of ammo shortage before the 12v12 server is even live?

Translation of the replies:
"Pugging? Then take an energy boat."
"Alternatively, treat every match like a Clan Trial of Position and just hope to take out at least one enemy before you go down."

No, they don't.
Also, there are a number of other relatively recent (and still open) threads on this very subject, easily found:

the 4 LL on my trebuchet need a lower Heat/Sec to make up for the constant Alpha I'll have to do with my boat build to carry the team and kill all 12 enemy mechs. Otherwise I just know I'll meet the Great Yellow Warning Light In The Sky, from all that overheating.
Also nerf MG's... they clearly have too much ammo and are imbalanced in a 12 man environment.
Edit.. on a more serious note:
I ran a chart of ammo consumption on continuous fire in proportion to weapon weight.
The rule of thumb?
5 Minutes Of Fun? Match It Ton For Ton.
Basically everything fell within 12% to 25% of a weapons weight consumed per minute of fire.
Edit: to further elaborate...
Heavier weapons need proportionately greater amounts of ammo.
2 tons of ammo won't cut it for a pair ac5's at 16 tons.
so don't expect 4 tons to cut it for 28tons of dual ac20.

Meanwhile, LBX continues to get more and more terrible...

I'd say more ammo for LRMs too... my 2 tons on my Treb are barely enough for 8 vs 8

I think a 50% increase should help.

Can we at least agree to give LBX more ammo/ton so it doesn't fall even further into the poop bowl?

Uh, guys. This isn't the solution to ammo-dependent builds. Instead of having 2 LRM boats and 2 Jägerbombs, we're gonna have like 3 LRM boats and 3 Jägerbombs. Sure, there are more mechs to shoot, but there are also more mechs shooting.

Uh everyone uses PPCs anyway... and will continue to do so in 12v12.
