Looking for some feedback on this oddity that I've come accross. I have more than 1 account, 1 being a founders account that has been well developed since the days of closed beta and others being significantly newer and less developed, developed refers to more mechs, more C-Bills, more pilot trees unlocked and more modules available.

I have been noticing that less experienced experienced accounts seem to have a much higher rate of hit detection and the ease with which enemy mechs are destroyed, and this seems to make little difference with the drop is 'Pug' or premade drop.

I know I'm going to hear about ELO playing a role in this but I'm not buying that answer. Same computer, same pilot, same mech load-out, less pilot trees and unlocks and all of a sudden the newer account is consistently getting 600-700 points per match and lasting a lot longer. In my experienced account I have to work like a dog to get 400 points and the mech dies in a hurry.

Why do I get the feeling that PGi is doing something to mess with the experienced players, probably under the back ground-guise of levelling the playing field for the newer players.

Now before the flames begin, try out what I am saying and I suspect that you might be surprised. Create another account, which is free and try it out!

Curious to see some feedback on this

PGI appears to have nowhere near the level of expertise in cryengine to implement something like this.

Alternatively - PGI might be dumb enough to hobble damage for players with higher ELO relative to the average ELO score of all players in the match.

Either way, this dev is a rip off merchant of the highest order. Test Client available whilst the current game is in beta? Lol - amateur hour.

Whether you buy it or not chages nothing about it`s validity..

A more experienced player is, at least theoretically, playing against other more experienced players. These people play better, that means they shoot better and get hit less. That translates to you living shorter and causing less damage in so many obvious ways it`s not even worth the effort to explain them to someone intelligent enough to use a computer.

This is why it does not surprise me at all that my alt accounts are effectively one man armies whiile this one has to actually work for kills.

I don't think it's all the experienced players. I think it's probably you. PGI discovered you're so good that you'd be wrecking the game so they decided to balance things for the rest of us by making some elaborate scheme to keep you down.
Now in order to avoid this scheme you need to wrap yourself head to toe in tin foil. This will stop the PGI script from detecting you. Good luck! Trust no one! ;)

You mention ELO but ... don't you think it's possible that the opponents you face on your new alternate account are worse players, and that explains the relative ease by which you kill them?

Whenever I play a light mech, I am always on a team of total noobs, and against a team of total noobs. Maybe not the whole teams, but there are, at least, some horrible players on both sides.

Why? I'm bad at light mechs, and presumably, my ELO in them is bad. I don't play them enough to get good at them.

The other team can't shoot as well with a lower ELO, thus on your higher ELO acount you die faster due to the skill of your opponents. Also Higher ELO players tend to have "cheese" builds because they know they are what is effective right now and if you want to win often solo you need to be in those mechs. I don't know why you would even think that you take more damage with a higher ELO that doesn't even make sense. If you took more damage then they would too because their ELO is also high. No logic in that post sir.

Most people in the newbie Elo range run really bad designs. Of course an experienced player with a good design (or even a gimmick) design will have a huge advantage. Knowing the ins and outs of all Maps, weaknesses of chassis and common builds really helps. Over the time I played through 2 "fresh" accounts to test the New player Experience.

My score isn't blanked out, and that was in a Trial Dragon. An okay build but certainly not a powerhouse build you see on Jagers, Phracts, Stalkers or Highlanders Posted Image
