Wait... wait folks. The Spider has very few weapons it can even mount, the hitboxes and that thing are practically one of the few Mechs I agree on with how its hit boxes are drawn. But I think the problem is hit box bugs that transfer damage to other locations, which happens on some other Mechs too.

ON these forums your reasoning and logic are not welcome sir.

Around here, if you get killed by it, then its OP

We have no problem with Spiders killing us, we have a problem with hitboxes that are definitely not working as intended and absorb far more damage than they should be capable of.

no problems with the spider in particular.

what really ****** me off is when i'm standing 60m away from a cataphract, and i shoot him dead in the center torso, and no damage is registered.

Raven hit CT with dual AC20 6 times to kill him. OH REALLY?

Their hit boxes are completely screwed at the moment. Once they are fixed then lets see what happens.

Commandos have less armor, and when Locusts appear they might threatened Spiders for more phantom shots absorbed that are not from net code issues alone.

And the main problem with Spiders seems to be more about hit registration, since servers are authoritative for MWO anyway.

Whatever the reason for it is, I have seen spiders survive blasts that would cripple or destroy other mechs. I have literally seem the weapons impact, the spider glow red-hot, and keep ticking. I am not talking about skilled light mech pilots that avoid weapons fire, I am talking about light mechs totally ignoring direct hits. There is some bug in the game that makes them far, far more durable than they should be. We suspect it is either a hitbox issue, or an issue with the state-unwinding mechanism.

Can I make this any clearer?
