I would say yes I have a highlander missle boat with one lrm 20 and three lrm 10s. Thats 50 missles with no heat problems vs my stalker 5M with four lrm 15 that will be nerfed. It makes no sense only 10 less missles and it has no problems.

I hate being one of those complainers but the heat fix will not stop lrm boating. Just spam lrm5s or 10s .5 seconds apart. Welcome back to screen shake shenanigans

Voted no.

LRMS are still avoidable due to their inflight time and the fact that lock must be maintained.

LRM damage has already been nerferd from its original value with the original heat retained.

And why would you want to stop LRM boating in this game system?

If you want to use LRMs, you basically need TAG or any ECM mech will ruin your day.
If you start equipping 1 ton of extra equipment (occupying an energy slot, too) for a single LRM launcher, it's wasteful.
But let's say the game was ECM free or you had team mates that run TAG for you. (one wonders why they bother for a single launcher and don'T tell you to equip something else, but whatever).
Then you still have to get through AMS, which is quite useful against a single launcher, but mostly irrelevant an LRM boat.

You see how the smart game design encourages boating and punishes non-boating of LRMs?

Thankfully, I don't like LRMs anyway, so I don't need to be bothered all that much by all of this.

I think they're actually going to combine the LRM and PPC into a single weapon system that will fire 20 PPC's that lock onto targets and automatically hit them, like in mech assault.

My dinosaur remembers that meme...

On a serious note though I believe the fix to make PPC's and ERPPC's count as the same is a step in the right direction.

Cause until they fix LRM firing spread they are really inefficient.

Besides, do you have any clue how hot my 6x LRM5 A1 runs? I don't want to think of them adding heat to that.
