Just posting up the image on the frontpage for your consumption.

Also here's a brightened version which is a little easier to see.

I'm stoked: finally a 5/8 55ton jump mech, I've wanted this for quite a while.
The hardpoints make me a little sad though:
H: 1M (2)
LT: 3B
RT: 2M (5)
RA: 1E

Looks like it'll be tough to use this thing well with an XL what with the big gun on the shoulder. It'll also be hard to use those 3 ballistic hardpoints.
The head missile is highly tube and crit limited, and the shoulder is probably going to be tube limited as well.
Then it only has 1 energy hardpoint, at least it's on an arm.
It's also worth noting that as soon as this thing is upgraded with Artemis, the only weapon that will fit in the Head slot is the SSRM2.

Here's some images off of Sarna of the TT Shadow Hawk art

Energy weapon choices: PPC, ERPPC
Ballistic weapon choices: Gauss Rifle, AC/20, dual UAC/5
Missile weapon choices: SSRM2

I'm not up on my Battletech knowledge but hopefully it will be like the Hunchback 4P and you can fit the largest standard engine in it

It should be able to fit up to a 360 engine, for a base (pre-tweak) speed of over 106kph.

Not sure if I should be concerned with what looks like a cockpit with no side windows. Tunnel vision?

Also not crazy about the centurion styled dual-thumbed hands. Kinda creeps me out.

Other than that, I loves it!

The tubes will prolly change like the HGN and QD. Only viable missile options are 3 streaks or 3 LRM5s.

I'm seeing two things here:

1) A need for an XL engine to milk this mech for all it's capable of.

2) Large side torsos.

If by large side torsos you mean "giant gun barrel easily hit from every angle" then I agree with you.

The sides are huge even without the giant gun counted. You can pretty much see the black outline where the hitbox edges will be.

I'm not sure why people keep saying it seems like it has large side torsos. I feel like it's torso closely resembles one current mech - the Awesome (aka the mech with the second most complained about ct in the game).

Well, I feel like XL'ing this guy is going to at least be worth the experiment.

EDIT: Admittedly, the main-gun will be hard to protect, but I think it'll be safer than the hunchback's.

Obviously there will be a varient with more than one energy, but I wonder if we'll get one with more than 3 missiles? Could be really nice if/when we get an SRM fix (and I hate streaks, so I don't care about those).

Well, I have to say that there is no law that says you must drop only after you have a weapon in every possible hard point.

In fact most of my mechs are not equipped with the maximum number of weapons. A single large weapon works just as well as a bunch of small ones.

However, the Shadow Hawk 2H will be a ballistic mech.

Nothing a Catapult couldn't do better, sadly.

It'll be much faster than a Catapult and have more agility with jump-jets, given that it's a medium and 10 tons lighter.

I wouldn't compare mechs in different weight classes like that unless you're talking about 60 tonners vs. mediums or 40's vs. lights.

Fingers crossed that it takes to an XL well, so I can swap my 300 and 350 XLs between my Shadow Hawks and Dragons.

Also so it can be viable.

Unfortunatley this isn't much differnt than my Founders HBK-4G, making it a tough sell at $40.
Fortunatley for PGI, it will be nearly impossible to flub the Thunderbolt, its minimum hardpoint are like having every Catapult and Jaegermech rolled into one sweet +30% C-Bill chasis.
(which of course means it will probably be wider than a Centurian and and Awesome standing side by side)

I'm thinking AC-10 with 3 tons of ammo, Large Pulse laser, and three Streak SRM-2s with 2 tons of ammo to deal with light mechs that annoy me.

I will keep all three jump jets. That is only 1.5 tons for them.

Really? Seems like 2 fewer energy points, possible XL viability, 360 gauge engine, jets, 5 more tons, and missile slots make it quite a bit different. Really the only similarity I see is each has 3 ballistics in the shoulder.
