I apologize if this is addressed somewhere I couldn't find or is coming in UI 2.0 (please confirm or deny if you can).

I would appreciate the ability to be able to reset individual statistics for my mechs and weapons. Right now, the historical view is a bit slanted because it also includes the time unlocking pilot trees, trying out poor/hot loadouts or trying silly tactics that didn't work. I have several mechs that I'd love to see how they're performing now with updated builds if I could.

Alternatively, a new stat that shows performance over the last 10/25/100 uses would also be good - you get recent history and not just all the history that way.

IIRC.... a long while back, it was said stats were going to be reset if 'achievements ever made it into the game.

AFAIK nothing about that statement has changed.

After months and months of collecting Elo data, the only way your going to see a stat wipe is.... if they drop Elo.

An accounts current Elo rating is independent of stats. There would be no reason to wipe any accounts Elo rating even if they wiped the stats.

I'm pretty sure they can just save your Elo ranking and just wipe stats. I hope it'll happen around release date as as the changes the game has gone through with weapon damage, HSR etc the stats I have now really don't tell me very much about my current performance.

Then neither does your Elo, this is the point I'm making you'll still be in the same boat either way.

They said they plan to wipe the stats at launch. There is no reason a stat wipe would impact your Elo score.

I think there should be the regular overall stat set we have now but also a seperate set we would be able reset when we want like a "trip odometer" set

No but being in the same Elo bracket you'll find that even after a stat wipe, the "new" stats you accumulate will be very similar to the current ones, you would need to increase your skill/play style drastically to see a different set of stats.

In some ways I also which we could reset stats. So much of the stats I have now aren't really relevant to the game as it is currently. Maybe a stats wipe upon release would be a good idea.

Honestly what I would really like to have is a stats program like some of the thrid party programs available for WoTs. I used WoT statistic for a long time and it was just great to be able to track each tank individual over a week, month or whatever. I could even visually see just how my performance changed when I upgraded to a new gun or something. I could see my overall win/loss trends or if my damgae was increasing or decreasing. Basically I had a ton of info available and could organize in any way imaginable.

What would be even more cool is if PGI would just create a stats log like WoTs does and just let the community create programs and such for this, just like WoT does. Honestly that is one of the coolest features about WoT, the ability for the Community to take active part and do statistics or huds or whatever.

Like the odometer in a car: ADD a "trip meter" something that can track stats from current and on, and can be reset as desired. All ELO stats stay.

Simple. Please add.

Not true. I have about 1200 matches all at various levels of skill and build making experience and subject to the tender mercies of all the "balancing" we have had. If they reset the stats, I have zero doubt that I would see significant differences.

And even if a wipe did reset ELO people's scores would be back to where they were before too long.

IMO, they should just reset all your stats the first time you pilot a non-trial mech in a real match.
