Heyho,

I am very Interested in what the Community think and does and i´m tired about all this PPC threads and i got different Questions.
So here i put up 2 of the most Played Chassis types first in the Order for every weight Class who are most played and want to know what you think wich is the most successful.
Then there follow the lesser played ones.

Still, dont forget its just an Opinion Question. i just want to see what u all think wich Mech is the "best" at the moment. I played everyone of them so its really just Interesting.

Greetings from the Ghostbears

Played in a few matches today. Saw a lot of Stalker lrm boats and dual Ac20/lrm jagers. Worse is when I encountered some of them -- the lrm boats would rain hell on us, and the dual Ac20 Jagers protected the lrm boats.

Couldn't even get close. Odd though - there are still ppc boats running about, but it's been migrating more towards the Highlanders and the K2 Catapults for the past day or so.

Not even lulz. Catapult is, straight-out, ton for ton, the best mech out there - particularly K2, C1 and C4 variants.. Modifiable as all heck, reasonably fast and, as always, in hands of a good pilot downright murderous. There's a good reason you see one or more nearly every match. K2 shines as a sniper but it doesn't do too bad as brawler - if it has to brawl. Rest are obviously supposed to be LRM support and do that job admirably, largely their performance depends on the other members of the team but 1on1 they can make piecemeal out of most assault mechs.

I love my Catapults. Those mean, lean, killing machines.

I have a C1 and a K2 and i know what you mean. The Cat is one of the best Heavies, imo. With my LRMs C1 ,playing in a 4-men all-assaults premade i made their same damage and with my 2UAC/5 4MLs K2 i had fun both sniping and brawling :D

I very rarely see a match without a few cataphracts, it's certainly one if my favourites I own 5.

Stalkers and Jagermechs seem to be the staple of every drop.

It is not my personal favorite mech but the Stalker is easily the most successful.

I voted Jagermech, it might not wtf wreck people like the 4 ppc stalker, but I find it hard to NOT have a good game in a Jagermech even if my team loses.

quad ac/2, 2x ac/2 2x ac/5, twin ac/20. twin gauss. They all work well and even if you sneak up on em they can still ruin your day.

This. I don't have any personally, but the Stalker has a lot going for it right now. Small profile for its weight, bristling with energy and missile hardpoints, plenty of armor, weight to build for a STD engine, and not completely hamstrung by torso twist or maneuverability.

Stalker is probably the most successful mech for the largest number of players. I don't think that will change too much in the next round of meta-tears though. We'll see.

Also, calling it early:

Trebuchet - 0 votes - the red-headed stepchild of MW:O. ^_^

(though I bet this comment results in a handful of people voting for it just to be contrary, lol)

Not much have Voted yet but it tends as i thought. Teams of Stalker/Highlander, Jägers and Spiders dominate at the moment.

Sadly the stalker, its an idiots guide to MWO if you can't play well with this mech its time to consider dominoes as an alternative hobby.

I bought the 3F, its the only way I was ever going to get stalkers, I certainly wasn't going to grind Cb for them (there you go PGI change the variant and i'll spend abit more cash :D ) other than change the colour PINK, and upgrade the lrm launchers at the expence of the srms its stock and easily the mech I perform best with its snoozevile

Only way it can fail is to end up unsupported and surrounded, by a fast mech that can pick off its rear armour

It has so much going for it, that i'm convinced its a favorite of someone in the design team, its stupidly small for a mech thats 85 tonnes it has very narrow frontage, and if you play against the pugs at the level I'm in most havn't the sense to try fight it at its weakpoints if they get that close and still have limbs left.

its the cloest there will be to a point and click mech

I didn't care much for it before I owned one, but now its in my stable I loath it and can cry NERF it to HELL and back, but it is the easiest and most successfull its also the most dull, other than a tag lrm 70 HGN

My only assault mechs are the stalker and atlas, both mastered. For me it's the stalker, despite all the flak it gets for PPC boating I don't really use it for that a whole lot.

Still stalkers are on top? After the Patch i made the experience that faster Mechs have more Improvement, especially with package losses and Collision lags. Well ..

If anything lighter mechs were hurt more in the patch. It's much easier to hit lights now than before. The heat issues didn't hurt the Stalker much either. So the meta is still pretty strong. For the last 3 hours I've been getting pummeled by 3-4 stalker opposing teams in my Spiders. I'm always on the team with the mediums and a couple assaults when I encounter them...

I commonly see PUGs with 4 stalkers (Usually 4xPPC mix and SRMs or LRMs), a few Victors, a few Atlases, maybe a highlander... Hunchies and oddly Blackjacks the last couple days as well.Otherwise you'll have 0-2 scout mechs: Commandos (Rare, though less so than before), Spiders (Common), Ravens (Common), Jenners (Common), or Cicadas (uncommon).

I like my Jagermech i have 2 UAC5S on it with 2 PPCS and 2 MGs I voted on the Jagermech because i almost never go into a match with seeing 1 shooting at me from a distance whether it be ac/20s or ac/2s

46 Votes for the Stalkers, but after the Heat Patch i think it changed a Bit, i see more Highlander and Victors then Stalker on the Field, is that just me? Still alot PPC flying around but i think Ballistik Weapons are dominant now Franeg?
