If this is the case when can we expect to see some screen shots of in-game play? As it is i love the borderlands'ish art direction, but if thats not the case can we get at least one in-game screenshot so we can "dream in technicolor" so to speak ?

Well... so far we can only wait. But as of how fast things go now I think we will see something like that in the future. They can´t keep the flow of information down no. Or else they will see their headquarters on fire.

The Artist is one Mr. Flyingdebris i think.
That man is the best artist the BattleTech Universe had in a long time.

That's cell shading. The art I've seen so far is just indicative of a style of digital painting. (Or am I not seeing this art of which you speak?)
Either way, PGI artists, I love the direction you're taking these Mechs. VERY gritty, very war-torn. LOVE it.

I am not sure if you have seen this as of yet Aegis: This could be considered slightly Borderland-ish and is posted on the now official MW:O youtube channel.

brixx, that pre-vis video was assembled to give the people making the 2009 preview video an idea of what the devs were aiming for. Notice that it was followed by a much more "conventional" final product. The pre-vis videos don't given any idea of what the final game will look like; they're just concept animations.
