I have my D-DC stripped right now and am going to commit to a new brawler build. I want speed, good heat, big guns. I was thinking this: http://mwo.smurfy-ne...7d45c2b43d5f1b7 OR THIS: http://mwo.smurfy-ne...92a50159ec45e1d
I am open to any and all suggestions or critiques so please help. I am currently poor c-bills wise so I need to know which to choose. I only have 3.5 mill c-bills to work with. I already have the srms and ac20 and gauss laying around. I just need the engine and lasers.

Well, this guy can do it all:

Not a true brawler, sniper or lrm but so great!

Sorry but thats looks to be kinda jumbly for an atlas. Like its a 100 ton centurion. It can do anything but cant do anything particularly well. I like single role builds. Good suggestion and creative build though.

Well it is very effective only use the guns/streak when a light or in range to a person and they have taken damage enough to keep those weps on them keep them. (only made/ran this Friday 7/6/13)

It should be prohibited to run an Atlas without an AC20, especially for brawling. This PPC and LRM crap is getting out of hand.

You do not want a Gauss on an Atlas. The side torso is much too easy to take out, with the Gauss assplosion often destroying the mech in one go.

The standard DDC brawler takes 2xLLAS+AC20+3xSRM6, looking something like this. You can generally make it faster by using smaller SRMs or streaks, for example like this. If going for a big engine, take the 325 or 350. These are the lowest ratings with additional heatsink slots.

I'd steer clear of SRMs until they get fixed...

I really enjoyed PPCs, Dual AC5s and 3 streaks. I was using UAC5s but when they buffed 5s they became really synergistic with PPCs and saved a few tons.

Are you kidding? The Atlas D-DC is the ultimate brawler. Nothing can beat at short range 3x SRM6s, AC/20 and 2 Medium Lasers.

What do you guys think about just 2xLPL + AC20 + ECM, no missiles? with a 350 engine I should be able to manage pretty good heat control and decent speed, while still maxing armor.

I ran with 2 uac5 2 large lasers 2 lrm 5 but you might wanna change to srms for brawling. I find dual uac5 atlas to work out fairly well.

I also like my dual UAC5 build with large lasers. I use 3 SSRMs right now but have also used SRMs. I feel it can be a very powerful build. Just gotta roll with the jams

Why brawl a DC ??? I like having mine a bit back in the firing line supporting my team wit ECM and long- to midrange fire. Up front where anything faster than granny and her stroller are gonna "circle of death" me is not where I really want to be...with a K perhaps but certainly not a DC.

Don't put gauss on a brawler, and limit your reliance on SRMs right now. They're weak. Change them to streaks and upgrade the arm weapons.

No matter how much I mess around with my DDC I always go back to this.

If SRM's were more potent I'd be running less AC20 ammo and 16 (or is it 12?) SRM's with artemis.

Pretty much My Build Except I ignore the XL advice an have a 350 rate Engine an only 2 SRM.

I dont mean the d-dc itself i mean the build he suggested. Also i have taken out plenty of brawler d-dcs in my day with my 5srm6 4 med laser stalker and that is after the srm nerf. Pre-nerf i could totally annihilate any and all atlases.

That is one stupidly good fit. I just gave it a shot and I was wrecking face one after the other. One match even net me 800 damage.

Tooling around with one of Pooty's original ideas, I dropped the engine rating slightly, added 2 DHS, moved some ammo around, dropped one of the CASEs, and up-armored the legs. http://mwo.smurfy-ne...b6d4d2a5ba196ce
